My friend and I really enjoyed this wine bar/restaurant. The food selection is eclectic, inventive, and inviting. We loved the heirloom tomato, melon, and burrata salad and the carnitas empanadas with chimichurri. The charcuterie board we had was quite nice, too, with some very good strawberry jam, Stilton cheese, and white almonds, among other things. The atmosphere was really vibey but also calm and airy. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful, and aided a couple of non-wine-people in choosing some delectable glasses. I definitely recommend this spot for a glass of wine or two, or a full dinner with friends!

I have been going to The Rose for many years. I love the vibe and have always had a good experience, especially with staff who have often taken the time to talk with me at the bar and recommend wines they know I'll like. I especially appreciate how diligent they have been during COVID, which made them the first place I chose to go when I felt comfortable eating out again. I've seen some recent bad reviews on them that has nothing to do with their food/wine or service. I urge you to ignore those and try this place for yourself.

The Rose is a South Park staple. The menu is friendly to meat lovers and vegetarians/vegans alike. They have some seriously cool plates such as the cured yellow tail (see photo) and their empanadas are fantastic. The wines here are also really interesting and are organic and sustainably made. Recently went here and purchased a vintage european wine flight that included some bottle that were between 25-30 years old. I highly recommend visiting The Rose if you haven't been before.

This place is usually such an amazing and service oriented place. But my partner and I just had a bad experience with one of their servers. I usually never write reviews but I am putting this out there because I really wouldn’t want one server’s bad attitude to taint the rest of the staff and the restaurant’s image. We hope this review helps them reorient their servers to be more flexible. We came to their lull time around 2-3pm when they don’t serve dinner and only have a limited menu, so they have very little customers and tables taken. We actually enjoy this limited menu and this time because it is much more quiet and intimate. We asked to be sat at a larger table outside because we we like to order lots of food (the chimichurri empanadas, the sourdough bread, the olives, some salads, and even the cheese platter) but the waitress said no even though all the larger tables were free. In our other visits, every waiter has been accommodating and willing to open up the four person tables to us. We even explained that we would be willing to move if a reservation came up and they needed the table (they had like 6 empty tables!!). We insisted and explained, but she didn’t make any eye contact and was hard set on putting us on the small two seater table which again wouldn’t be bad but we like to order a lot and have the space to eat comfortably. We are South Park residents and would love to keep coming but we are now disappointed that they wouldn’t...

I thoroughly enjoy this spot as a resident of the neighborhood. Fantastic wine selection , unique, yet scrumptious food offerings. An enjoyable, fun vibe…. My only complaint is service: when I first moved to the neighborhood this was the first place I came to and I fell in love. I had the most amazing server. She was so welcoming, kind hearted and very knowledgeable on offerings. So much so, I left that solo lunch experience with 6 bottles in hand.

However, since then (I’ve never seen her again) each time I go, I feel like an inconvenience. Servers feel like they’re lost in their own personal world or with each-other that you being waited on is disrupting their day. It almost gives a “you’re not cool enough to be here vibe” at times.

This review isn’t to defer you from going, because the food and wine is A1! It is more so intended to hopefully be a mindful reminder to The Rose Wine Bar employees that energy, kindness & service can truly make or break an...

Hangry Ny’er here: went on a rainy Sat at 2pm so the place was empty and I got a seat right away. By the time I left the place was full.

Tried the Bloody Mary and rose burger. Asked for the blood Mary with an extra kick and yup I was sniffling, but worth it. Burger came with smashed potatoes which had a side of this aioli which made it taste amazing. The burger came with pickles which I ate separately and had a very freshly pickled taste, but in a good way. They didn’t ask how I wanted the burger, which I usually do as medium, but it was pretty good. The bread wasn’t too overwhelming, the beef wasn’t dry, pretty flavorful actually, plus I dowsed it in the aioli since I like my food saucy, and that definitely took it up a notch. Place: it was cute and staff was...
