Love this place! Me and daughter visit sunny scoops 1-2 times per week because it’s close to our house and their ice cream is very good! My daughter likes their Oreo and birthday cake flavor, I like “exhausted parent” flavor with almonds toppings. I think kiddie size is good enough. This shop is family owned and their service is excellent! Last week my daughter forgot her water bottle in the shop, the shop asked the music studio first then kept it for us until we called them and asked. So happy the water bottle is back! Even though some people think it’s a little pricey, but we think it’s acceptable and we will keep going back until I really have to lose some weight…haha 🤤 Ps: their spoon can change colors and they have cute games outdoor.

The ice is decent. Texture and flavor were great. Portion was a little small for the price. The cup size kinda makes it feel like I didn't receive the whole portion. 1 Scoop barely makes it over the lip of the cup. The toppings are beyond over priced. $1.00 per topping. I ordered sprinkles and got about 1 tsp of rainbow sprinkles. They were gone before I was half way done. I know small businesses need to make money. But yeah never going to get a topping here again. I will bring my own for that price. If your looking for a nice little place to get ice cream on a hot day, and want to support a small business this place fits the bill. If you are looking for a place to get ice cream for a decent price might want to move on.

Such a wonderful wholesome family owned shop! Plenty of outside seating and very cute decor. I am always indecisive when it comes to picking an ice cream flavor and the owners encouraged/let me sample as many flavors as I needed to and were extremely patient. I went with the “this just got serious” which honestly you cannot go wrong with! Super creamy and delicious! If you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth craving, this is the spot!

It is worth the drive from OC (65miles 1 way) for self indulgence. I feel like I am a kid again. It’s unlike any other ice cream I had. Its creamy, smooth and rich but does NOT taste fattening. It’s sweet but not sugary. I can feel how dense it is because of the way it swirls in your mouth as it melts. That’s when I notice endless release of flavors ending in an Ah-Ha moment of endorphin-releasing bliss. One thing for sure is that it’s addicting. I love it so much that I would drive 65 miles from OC to SD. When I get older, I may not be able to act on my impulse and how often do I find something that makes me feel like a kid again? My trip to Sunny Scoops back to OC ended with Rod Stewart sang “Have I told you lately”. I got Brownie Cascade, It Just Got Serious, Zanzibar Chocolate, Vanilla and how could I not try something called Kitty Kitty Bang Bang? I loved every lick of my double Black Cherry scoops on a plain cone. I gotta pack it down into the cone right down to the last crunch with subtle yet memorable lingering cherry flavor. What can I say? You gotta try it...

Decided to try this place the other night since a friend told us about it. I have to say I was rather disappointed. Staff is nice and friendly, place is clean and has some games outside for the kids. Not trying to be mean at all, but It was just really pricey for what you get. I feel like I’ve spent less at Cold Stone and gotten more. There wasn’t really anything special about the flavors, except the creative names. A single scoop is almost $6 and a milkshake is almost $9 for a 2 scoop (about 16oz cup). Spent $35 with a tip. I have to say I’d have saved at least $10, and gotten a lot more for my money, if I just went and got Ben and Jerry’s at the store. I like to support local small businesses, but when they have to gouge you to survive in an already overpriced environment, I have trouble with it. I still want value for my dollar, sorry, but I did not find it here. Oh, they do have a punch card. Get a free...
