By far the worst taco bell in San Diego. Im usually very patient, empathic and understanding. I think I'm very fair when it comes to reviewing places. I state thst because I know some people like to freak out because of the one time they didn't get 1 taco out of the 30 they ordered. This is not the case here. I go to other stores in the area and have tried this taco bell a handful of times. There is always a line. And it's not because it's really popular but because the line moves slower than any taco bell line, probably slower than literally every other fast food place in the county. They've been out of ingredients. They show no urgency, self awareness, or care for the job. There are a couple people who were nice but a fast majority I've dealt with were unprofessional and checked out. I get that it's a fast food job. I don't expect 5star service like it's a Michelin rated chefs private restaurant. But have some pride in what you do no matter how insignificant you or other people might think it is. All you have to do is look at the rest of the taco bells in the city and you will see this is easily the lowest rated. I think it's the only one under 3 stars as of me writing this. I'm actually surprised corporate hasn't noticed and done anything about this place because most of the other taco bells in the area have it mostly together. I seriously have backed out of the drive thru and gone across the street to McDonald's or out of my way if I really want taco bell still because this place is just so slow and bad. I've seen a startling amount of other people leave as well. I swear you'd wait 20min even if you pulled up as the only customer. What I guess really is bothersome is that this has been an issue for months. It's not like they lost a couple good people and hit a small rough patch. Being slow and inattentive is the normal. Sorry for the book of a review. Been meaning to write about this place for awhile and it needed to be a book. If I had wrote this entire review in their drive through line I would have only moved up one person. Go anywhere else, seriously, you could go to a sit down restaurant and get service faster. I'd like to add one final note. I don't put this all on the employees. Because some are fine and are clearly not getting proper support whether because it's ridiculously under staffed or the other staff is just not very good. This comes down to leadership/management. Learn to schedule properly. Learn to hire people that can provide the support necessary. It's completely unfair to the good employees who do try, are nice and show up only to find they are the only one working. They don't make enough to deal with the bs I'm sure they get while dealing with a whole shift of doing everything on top of every customer being angry. To the good employees find a different job because anywhere is better than putting up with that kind...
Read moreVery disappointed with my experience today-even though I read a couple reviews before I ordered from this location but chose to give benefit of the doubt. I ordered ahead via TB website both in consideration of their potential late lunch/early dinner rush as well as my small window for lunch break. There were many who ordered long after mine (in store, online, and drive through). The estimated time my order was to be ready was at 2:30 but didn’t receive until 3:45 which was just a cheese roll up, a bean quesorito, and one soft taco. A simple, small, and quick order. By the way, they won’t start your order until you either sit through whole drive through OR until after you walk in the door to wait in line to order your already ordered food? What’s the point of having a ready time?? I started to think my order had been lost somewhere in translation, but was reassured it was ‘still being worked on’.. I don’t even want to say they (no names-I am not vindictive) were rude bc that’s aside of the point now. I 100% understand a stressful day being short handed & in fast food, but if you accumulatively mess up on something so simple and the same order, one would think an apology would be offered or an explanation.. also they write on the wrappers with sharpie and it soaks through from soggy tomato runs. Aside of all this and however the logistics of their system is supposed to work, they put meat and “red 40 chips” in everything I’d ordered. After calling & finally Getting a hold of someone, I was instructed to drive back over to bring in my uneaten food on a wasted lunch break so it could be remade-which I’m assuming would restart this whole process. Ending on a positive note, they did manage to get my drink order correct by handing me the right size...
Read moreAs I read all the reviews before giving mine I can relate to the bad customer service this restaurant apparently has. It was my first visit today and Not busy at all no one in drive thru but oddly the drive thru service person asked me to wait a little to take my order. Ok no big deal, I wasn't in a hurry. I drive up and the kid at the service window has hickeys all over his neck! Um, that's not professional! Then he didn't give me all my order and I didn't realize until I drove away to Walmart. I came back and went inside and it took a while for someone to come to the front to help me. Despite two workers in the back who made eye contact but said nothing. Then a young girl just walked up to the register and didn't greet me, ask if I needed help just stands at register. She then asks with a bothered countenance, "Did you already pay?" I told her yes here is my receipt I didn't get my drinks. She hands me a cup and gets my other drink. Wow! No, I'm sorry about that, nothing, straight up rude and bad customer service! She looked annoyed and the whole vibe in that place was just all bad. I was never rude but shook my head walking out. Never go there again! Managers really do need to correct a lot of things in...
