Warung RieRie — Restaurant in San Diego

Excellent!!! My family of 4 were fortunate to be invited (twice) and experience a unique dinner event. Along with other, customer, we also waited months for our reservation. There is a reason why they are fully booked for a year. Excellent Food. Excellent atmosphere. Excellent service. Chef Rie and Husband Dave entertained us like family. They gave us a glimpse of the Indonesian culture and cuisine. The stories of behind each menu item gave a more personal touch . Dining inside the Warung also elevated the atmosphere into another level.

It is sad that other reviewers LIE because the "line" is long and complaining about the price. The worst part is they are writing a review and have never been there. It is one thing that they review a terrible experience, but to lie about it even though they have not even been a customer... Wow! They are liars to the bone. Such a "snubbish and elitist" person. As I have mentioned above, there is a reason why they are fully booked for a year.

Very unprofessional. Would not recommend if you have food allergies/sensitivities because they might cancel at the last minute. See yelp for multiple posts about this.

They canceled our appointment 5 days before the reservation even though they knew about our dietary restrictions months in advance when we first made the reservation. When we first scheduled, they said that the entire summer menu was gluten free & no modifications were needed.

Today, she texted and called multiple times all day while I was at work to pressure me into canceling my dinner even though I told her I do not have a severe gluten allergy. I explained that cross contamination is ok. If your menu is gluten free as you promised, no accommodations needed to be made. It went on like this all day until I finally canceled out of frustration.

It's another shop that doesn't focus on luxury! But on food and service experience.Emphasizes the uniqueness of Indonesian food. The reservation queue is a year long, It was an honor to be invited by my husband and friends. The shop open it on day off especially for us. What is impressive ….they Welcoming us like a family, smiling, walking in you feeling like entering your own home and have dinner with friends in your backyard. And most importantly, the owner of the restaurant came up with a vegetarian menu for me..!The results is amazing. It's very well done and good the same as the restaurant's main menu.
