Wingstop — Restaurant in San Diego

It was my first time coming to this location. When I walked in, I noticed a guy picking up his order and going through the bag like he was on a mission, checking every single item.

In my head, I thought, “Relax, man, it’s not that serious.”

I got my wings, headed to my car, and decided to sneak a few fries before they got cold. That’s when I realized… no ranch.

I dumped the whole bag hoping it was just hiding. Nope. No ranch to be found. I was happy I found out before I drove off. Imagine what a nightmare that would have been--hot honey rub wings with no ranch. That's like Batman with no Robin. Mario with no Luigi...you get the point. I went back inside the store and got my ranch.

Now I get it. That guy wasn’t being extra, he was being smart. From now on, I’ll check my bag too. Better...

So glad to have a Wingstop in the neighborhood! I ordered the 20-for-$20 deal (Hot Honey Rub and Garlic Parmesan, all flats, well done), plus five extra wings in Lemon Pepper and a large ranch.

Flavors were solid across the board. The main 20 wings weren’t cooked well done as requested, but the extra five were actually extra crispy and hit the spot. You can’t choose the cut on the bonus wings, but that’s to be expected—they still turned out great.

Pickup was fast and efficient, though I wouldn’t have minded waiting a little longer if it meant getting those well-done wings. Overall, great experience and I’m excited to have this Wingstop nearby.

These are my favorite wings. I’ve been to several locations. I don’t know if it’s because they just opened and don’t have much experience yet, but my wings and fries lacked salt, and the wings were soggy not crispy like at other Wingstop locations. I really hope they improve that, because I’d like to keep coming here since I live...
