This morning before work, I felt like having a cup of coffee and decided to stop by this café. What caught my attention was the high rating. We ordered a latte, and I got a matcha latte for myself. First of all, I really liked the interior — lots of interesting and ethnic details, plenty to look at. I love places like that. The service was also very pleasant, and I was satisfied with the overall atmosphere. Now, about the drinks. To be honest, I don’t like leaving negative reviews, so I’ll start with the good: the matcha latte was okay. I really appreciated that the barista asked whether I wanted it sweetened or not — that was a big plus for me since I forgot to mention it myself. If it had been sweet, I would’ve been disappointed. So, I truly appreciated that attention to detail. The matcha was overall fine, though maybe a bit too bitter — possibly from using too much matcha powder. As for the coffee, my friend said their latte tasted burnt and overly bitter. I tried it too and, sadly, I have to agree — it just wasn’t good. This coffee isn’t for me. Despite that, my overall impression was still quite positive, especially thanks to the nice service and unique interior. I stopped by this Ethiopian coffee spot in City Heights on one of my walks. The menu is straighforward with nothing crazy - maybe 4-5 types of coffee and a few different teas. Peanut tea caught my eye and I'd like to try that sometime just because I've never had it. I just got a regular coffee with cream and it was really good. They frothed it up a bit which I enjoyed.
