This morning before work, I felt like having a cup of coffee and decided to stop by this cafĂ©. What caught my attention was the high rating. We ordered a latte, and I got a matcha latte for myself. First of all, I really liked the interior — lots of interesting and ethnic details, plenty to look at. I love places like that. The service was also very pleasant, and I was satisfied with the overall atmosphere. Now, about the drinks. To be honest, I don’t like leaving negative reviews, so I’ll start with the good: the matcha latte was okay. I really appreciated that the barista asked whether I wanted it sweetened or not — that was a big plus for me since I forgot to mention it myself. If it had been sweet, I would’ve been disappointed. So, I truly appreciated that attention to detail. The matcha was overall fine, though maybe a bit too bitter — possibly from using too much matcha powder. As for the coffee, my friend said their latte tasted burnt and overly bitter. I tried it too and, sadly, I have to agree — it just wasn’t good. This coffee isn’t for me. Despite that, my overall impression was still quite positive, especially thanks to the nice service and unique interior. But the drinks didn’t really suit my taste, so I probably won’t be coming back for coffee or other beverages.

If you’re looking for legit “small batch” coffee, this is it! Dave is one of the most welcoming baristas around and very kind hearted. Their coffees are imported straight from Ethiopia and he roasts them in-house. Small batches at a time, you can even watch him doing his magic on some visits. If you really want to enjoy the coffee and its notes and flavors, please drink it black. Don’t add sugar or milk please
.its disrespectful to the coffee roaster 😉 Swing on in, have a good chat and sip away!

If you happen to pass by this particular Coffee Shop on University Avenue, something that would summon you would be the aroma of the daily freshly roasted Ethiopian Coffee. Best place to grab your early morning Coffee/Tea. There are street side Ethiopian Pastries and from the breakfast options, I love "ful" it is delicious đŸ˜‹đŸ€€ I highly recommend this Cafe. The Barista is a very humble and hard working person. Thank you for your service.

I stopped by this Ethiopian coffee spot in City Heights on one of my walks. The menu is straighforward with nothing crazy - maybe 4-5 types of coffee and a few different teas. Peanut tea caught my eye and I'd like to try that sometime just because I've never had it. I just got a regular coffee with cream and it was really good. They frothed it up a bit which I enjoyed. I noticed they sell beans as well. Friendly service and atmosphere. Soccer game on TV when I was there. I sat at the lone table outside with my coffee and cake which was relaxing. Next time I want to try a macchiato...
