Yummy Deli — Restaurant in San Diego

One of the hidden gems in this area. Whenever I'm in the area I always make sure to come by and pick up a sandwich or two. The lady working there is always so nice and smiley, it certainly made today's rainy weather feel less gloomy.

The prices are very generous and the ingredients are very fresh. -The mayonnaise, mustard, banana peppers, red onions, lettuce, tomato, and giant slither of pickle ("pickled" cucumber?) was very well-balanced, nothing overwhelmed one-another.

-I ordered The Valley Melt -corned beef, turkey (on sourdough I think) The other was The Pastrami melt And 2 slices of Bacon on the side (which was devoured as soon as I got in the truck)

I eat here almost everyday, and I'm never disappointed. Ive tried almost every deli in the area and nobody tops Yummy. The portions are huge and the quality is unmatched. Her pricing is fair too, so I cant leave that out. Young makes the best sandwitch or wrap in town, without a doubt! The daily specials are very good too if your looking to switch it up.

UPDATE: 8 years later and it’s still the best...

Went here on a recommendation from a workmate, totally worth it! I got a Tuna Club on Rye w/Pepper Jack and it was delicious. HUGE portions and good quality. Yung, the Owner, is a super funny and very hospitable little Korean grandma type and she loves good reviews so I promised I'd drop one....here...
