Stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. When we arrived, we were greeted right away and were told it would be a few minutes to be seated. After about 5 minutes, we got seated. We sat there for about 10 minutes before our waitress came over asking us for our drink order. Unfortunately, we had no menus. The gentleman who showed us to our table didn't provide us with menus. Our waitress brought us some menus and was helpful with her suggestions on drinks and foods to choose from. We ordered two micheladas at our table, and when we received them, they were room temperature even though they had ice and tasted mostly like worcestershire sause. We also got some appetizers, oyster shots, chicharrón de pescado, and botana de camarón y pulpo. The oyster shots were good, they had good flavor, and the oysters tasted fresh. The chicharrón de pesacdo was also good but had too much salt. The botana de camarón y pulpo was bland, basically boiled shrimp and octupus on top of cucumbers and onion(nothing some limes and salt didn't fix). I got myself a ceviche de camarón, which had good flavor and was fresh. My wife got a ceviche de pescado, and she enjoyed it as well. My son got a filete de pescado al mojó de ajo, and I don't know how he ate it. They burned it from both sides. It had black burnt spots all over the filete and tasted like the leftover burnt residue of a skillet. Unfortunately, we tried the fish towards the end, or I definitely would have mentioned it to our waitress. The other family members who went with us also mentioned their cóctel de camarón and other foods were bland. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they were busy and in a rush, and that is why most of the food came out tasting the way it did. The prices, in my opinion, are high for what we experienced. The orders of ceviche are smaller and more expensive than other local places around, in my opinion. There is free parking in the shopping plaza of the establishment. Unfortunately, I won't be returning here even though it's...
Read moreBEWARE!!!!!Me and my husband came here on Thursday for lunch around noon and place was completely empty. I had seen some posts about this place online and was excited to try. I ordered a asada taco and the shrimp tacos, that ended up being taquitos. My husband a fish taco and a taco gobernandor. Cocktail drinks did seem a little over priced. Our food took about 20 min to come out and by this time there was only another table besides us. My asada taco was missing the guacamole advertised on the menu. After I questioned my server about it she said oh yea let me bring it. She did bring a pretty decent side however it was really bland. My shrimp taquitos had absolutely no flavor at all. The only flavor came from the sour cream and salsa I drenched over them. My husband said he’s gobernador taco had way too much cheese that overpowered the flavor of the taco. Food was a 2/10. But my biggest set back was that when I requested the bill and was ready to pay. The server brings a pad to process my payment. I insert my card and as I’m signing I realized that my total from $49 when up to $65 including a $6 tip I had added. When I questioned the server if the tip was already included she right away oh wait I’ll void it. She then proceeded to void the payment and said she had fixed it. The new total did reflect $49 and change and then I was able to add the $6 tip. When I asked her for a copy of the voided receipt it showed a 20% gratuity that was automatically added and said (large party) whatttt.. we were a party of 2. Thankfully I’m a restaurant manager so I was able to catch this but there is a lot of people especially older guests that don’t realize that they are adding the tip and most of them don’t even ask for a copy of the receipt. To me this is unacceptable. I understand adding gratuityin parties larger than 6 but in parties of 2 c’mon or at least they should have the decency of letting you know before hand that the tip...
Read moreWhat seemed to had been a pleasant and appetizing brunch gathering, turned out to be a vitally ill experience for my entire family. My family and I came to brunch at this establishment on Sunday April 21, 2024. Having to had seen billboards and being a fan of seafood, I was intrigued to check out this place with my family. During our brunch visit, the food seemed delicious and authentic. We had ordered oysters, fried octopus and shrimp. Although the service didn’t seem all the great, the food at the time made the moment enjoyable. Unfortunately, that did not last long. My entire family got very ill the night after. Having projectile vomiting, abdominal pain and everything else you can imagine to say the least. My daughter was rushed to the emergency room due to dehydration and not being able to maintain anything in her stomach. It was determined she had food poisoning and after speaking with other family members that attended the brunch the day of, they too were experience the same symptoms and confirmed that we all had food poisoning from this restaurant. It is unfortunate that I seemed to have missed the reviews that mentioned former food poisoning from other customers. I have reported this establishment to the Public Health Services and have filed a food illness report against this restaurant and I hope that this review can be a warning to other future customers dining at this establishment. And for the owners to this restaurant, I advise you not to own up to the name of this restaurant and being aware of how food is being handled and processed to ensure the well-being of...
