Small bakery located in the valley. I have had the cakes several times. Each time, the cake taste fresh. The whipped frosting is good, fruit is fresh. However, the decorating is below average. Specifically on the picture to cake. A week prior to my pick up date, I provide a staff member two pictures to put on the cake. The staff member said the pictures were very cute, and the cake would be ready for my requested date. Nothing more was said. Fast forward, I arrive to pick up the cake. Another staff member boxed it up. I thought it was weird that I didn't get to view the cake. So, I opened it myself. I was in shock. The picture was extremely dark, bubbles were all over the cake. I couldn't believe they were going to let me walk out of there with a cake like that. I told the staff member I could not take the cake. I would be embarrassed. They insisted I take the cake. Apparently there was nothing they could do about the bubble due to the heat. And they mentioned my pictures were too dark. I disputed one of the pictures. When I delivered the pictures one was clearly visible. The other, I'll give them that but, both came out black. The decorator came out to argue with me. I explained there was no way I would pay full price for the cake. I asked for a refund on the picture portion. All they would refund was $3.00. I was upset. I said no, I would take a replacement cake and call it even. After going back and forth, the bakery decided to give me and exchange. I will never order a cake from there again. Read moreI just went today 12/3/24 to get the bread and lady who was older with black glasses short. took my order put my bread in the plastic bag. I asked to please put in the bread in the paper bag. She refused and told me paper bags are only use when the bread is hot. I told her where your policy that states that. She said we don't have one, she was rude and refused to give me the Manager name. She pointed to go over to the other side and you grab the card if you want the name. I asked her what was her name she told me I'm not going to give you that information because it's pointless. I told her I'm not being rude to you and she said well I'm not either. She argue with me and I told her señora really this is really bad customer service!!!. She said I'm going to tell my manager my side of the story first and then you call her at 6:00pm. So she can belive me first. I was shocked and I been here so many times and I never was treated this way over a paper bag. I told her I have never received my bread like this until now and she said well today you did. I was with my kids and I told her just give me my money back and she said I can't do that because I charge to the "box" and I can't returned your money. So if you want take your bread or not. I had placed an order for 2 cakes for my daughter's birthday. One was due on a Friday and the other was for Saturday. I received a call on Thursday at 7:40 asking is i was going to pick up the cake i had ordered. I said no that cake is suppose to be for tomorrow, Friday. She sounded confused, told someone and im guessing they saw the order form cause she just said "oh ok". I go Friday to pick up the cake, i ask the girl who got it for me if the cake was fresh. I explained the situation and that i didnt want an old cake. She asked one of the ladies, that lady said it was baked the same day. Well we cut that cake and sure enough it was not fresh. The strawberries were mushy and the cake itself was so dry. No one finished it and a $60 cake went to the trash. Saturday came, I picked the the second cake. I td them what happened, not to get a discount or refund, but so they would not do that to other customer's. But they got defensive, tried to say it was my fault for ordering a white cake. Then said how do they know I wasn't lying. My reply was because I'm not asking for my money back.
