Aromatic teas and great service make this place worth visiting. The tea here is expensive, but it smells amazing. It's rarely busy and you can buy tea gift boxes, teacup sets, and t-shirts in addition to loose leaf teas. If you're very serious about tea, you can get fancy teapots and teacups here. If you're unsure of what you want, just ask whoever's working. I've never felt rushed and service has always been pleasant. The lychee black tea smelled incredible and tasted good too.

A great tea shop find in San Francisco! We stumbled across Aroma Tea Shop while looking for a nearby bakery and what a find. There are a huge number of loose leave tea choices, sold by the ounce. The owner was super knowlegeable and happy to brew us a few samples. The Lychee Strawberry is a great cold brew Ice Tea and the Vanilla Black tea is my current favorite. The real find of the day was the Earl Grey Chocolate bar, I can't wait to go back and get that again.

Best Tea in San Francisco. Aroma is where it's at, don't even try anywhere else. Massive selection of fresh high quality tea from all over the world. Friendly welcoming staff - can't say enough good things. We will always be coming back here.

It was years ago I walked past this new AROMA TEA SHOP on Polk St. There are always people sitting around a U shape bar and the owner standing in the Center brewing tea and giving talks on different kinds of teas. I drank good quality teas all my life. I love SouMei. I walked in one afternoon when there's hardly anybody. I asked the owner if he sells SouMei Cha. He opened my eyes to the world of organic Chinese teas and I was told SouMei Cha 壽眉茶is Longevity Eyebrow! And the best is the white furry tips of the first bloom. To make a long story short with my love with SouMei Bak Cha 壽眉白茶, I'll let you go to the two AROMA TEA SHOPS and be a connoisseur of Longevity Eyebrow White Tea...

Another hidden gem in Inner Richmond! If you are a legit tea lover who doesn't mind breaking the bank for quality leaves, you will love this place. There's a wall full of canisters of teas to choose from and you can sample any of them! They're really generous with their samples too. Prices range from around $25-80 for 4oz. Really pricey, but the few teas we tried were amazing. We didn't end up buying anything that day, but the guy working was super nice anyway. They also make hot or cold tea drinks to-go which I found out after I left. I'll be back for...

An experience for sure.

I left here discovering I have an obsession with Coconut Green Tea. It's absolutely refreshing and delicious iced or hot but I preferred Iced!

The walls are lined with tea and tea items. You can sample any flavor, just ask!

You can get a cup to enjoy there or to go in addition to taking tea leaves home to enjoy them yourself.

It was a very cool experience to watch the owner make the samples, school everyone on tea, and hear about his history. His wife was assisting him as well and she was very sweet!

Definitely an experience...
