Aura Cinema — Restaurant in San Francisco

Enjoyed my visit! After walking by a few times (new to the Dogpatch neighbourhood) we found ourselves craving ramen one night and instantly thought of Aura.

Came by with a friend and my fiancé and we all ordered different ramen dishes along with the pork belly appetizer. We enjoyed all our dishes! I personally ordered the Me-so ramen and thoroughly enjoyed it. Was filling and tasty and the perfect amount of flavourful. I wouldn't say it's the best ramen I've ever had but it definitely satisfied our craving and was delicious.

Overall vibe of the place is also cool - modern and trendy. Clearly very new. They have music playing and modern blue lights around the space, but nothing too crazy and annoying.

The owner (Derek) also took his time to chat with us and check on our meals and experience which was really kind of him. Genuinely felt like he was interested in how we enjoyed his restaurant and if there was anything we felt...

Found Aura Dogpatch on Yelp after the dubs won the 2022 NBA championship!!!!

We were a group of five coming over from Chase Center. Probably took us about 10-15min to walk from Chase, so it wasn't too bad. As expected, Aura was pretty rowdy as everyone was celebrating. We were lucky enough to somehow get the booth in the back as it was empty. We ordered two rounds of fries and onion rings, a round of drinks.

They have two bathrooms. It was a bit wild with people hunched over trash cans when we came in haha, but I get it...DUBS WON!!!

The fries with garlic parmesan are a must!!! And onion rings were good too. I would definitely order drinks at the bar, could take awhile if you order them from the table.

Shoutout to Kristina for taking care of us for the night and making sure we were hydrated with water!

Parking is a bit better in Dogpatch, but again...SF, street parking.

I came here for my partner's birthday and was surprised that they had a comedy night going on when we came but we stayed and watched and enjoyed the night.

Love the karaoke set up - we had a blast using it and it's super awesome that it's a little bit empty at times so we had the whole place to ourselves. The song choices were up to date and really good.

Thanks to the staff who gave us a free round of shots too for my partner's birthday!
