I just purchased a 2024 Gixxer 750. Hooked it up to a trailer and towed it home. The next day I called my insurance company AAA thinking it would be an easy and quick process to add the motorcycle insurance to my cars policy. Oh how wrong I was! I was told that they don’t provide motorcycle insurance that they would have to go through Progressive insurance. Progressive gives me a quote of $6,000. On top of that, they wanted it in a single lump sum for the year. To say I was shocked is an understatement. I called around for an entire day from company to company getting the same type of results. If they didn’t want the lump some they wanted between $500-$600/month. I have had my drivers license since I was 16. I been riding since I was 21. I’m now 50 years old. I have never had to pay such outlandish insurance premiums for a bike. My driving record is spotless which it has to be because I am also a class B driver. I was just starting to wonder if I made a mistake buying the new bike. Until in a last desperate attempt I typed into my google browser Motorcycle insurance companies San Francisco. 100’s of companies popped up. I randomly chose one number to call. That was to Janet Lin State Farm insurance company of San Francisco. An agent by the name of Anita Scribner answered the phone. After my pleas for help. She was so kind and helpful. And was also shocked at the quotes I was getting. She told me not to worry that she could help me. After about 15 minutes on the phone I was set up with full coverage motorcycle insurance at $92/month. I wanted to cry I was so excited! Anita at Janet Lin State Farm insurance is the most professional and kind agent I have had the pleasure of dealing with. I will be making a change from AAA to Janet Lin State Farm insurance for my other vehicles also. If any other riders are experiencing the same insane quotes. I've had my Renter's insurance through Janet Lin since 2019, and her agency is absolutely stellar!

Alex (one of the on-site agents) helped get us set up with our initial renter's insurance when my partner and I moved into our first apartment together, and his friendliness was absolutely amazing. So much so that when we moved into our new apartment, a work/live space requiring a minimum $1M liability insurance policy, I wasn't worried about the prospect of calling up their agency and discussing our new circumstances-- I looked forward to it! Alex has been a great help since we first started, taking a personal interest in my hobbies. As a comic book collector, I had a few items that were particularly valuable to me, and Alex helped me figure out how to make a record of my belongings and feel confident that, should the worst happen, I'd be alright. Most recently, he worked hard to coordinate getting me pet insurance for our new puppy.

Today, he helped set me up on a call with Anita, who was a pleasure to work with as well! Anita walked me through the ins and outs of the plan so that now I feel confident that I understand the full scope of my pet insurance in detail. Suddenly, a thing that I knew very little about and seemed very overwhelming is simple and friendly!

I've even been impressed with the staff who answers the phone when I've called in for assistance.

Overall, I am so glad to have your team by my side for whatever accidents life might throw our way.

Our family has been a Janet Lin customer for 21 years, and we have moved around the Bay Area. We stay with her office for a number of reasons. While she and her team are knowledgable, always looking for ways to help us save money, and provide good care, that is not the main reason. Janet Lin and team are consistent! There is not a lot of turnover in staff and we've come to know the agents but more importantly, they've come to know us! The agents are always looking out for our best interests and remember the specifics each time we move. When issues have arisen, they are able to provide quality and helpful direction and support. One recent example: we were renting a house and called to inform us that in the future, many insurance companies would not be able to provide Home Owner's Insurance in CA. While we didn't care at the time, it proved useful information. When we looked for a home a few months later to purchase, we were already aware of the issue. This allowed us to do our homework and get insurance during the escrow period, and essentially close on time (many people were not able to do this because no one had made them aware of this issue). And while State Farm was not able to offer this particular insurance, the agent they referred us to was (and his office was the only one out of 15 other choices). Without this level of care, we would have had a much larger struggle. If only we had asked for a referral before trying to get it on our own first.
