Balboa Ice Cream — Restaurant in San Francisco

We got a Mint Chip and one of the coffee flavors. There's something about the texture that I didn't like so I wouldn't try again. My partner thought it was fine though.

I didn't vibe with the name of the available flavors and everything looked bright and artificial - which I think would attract the kids. I actually first asked "what's the best seller?" to the staff and I got a "depends on your taste." Fair. But that doesn't help me decide on something to try - it would have been nice if the staff could have suggested a few flavors people gravitate to since it would let me know that they know their customers and flavors. Service: Staff were courteous and friendly, and I appreciated the nice touch of the US flag with my ice cream to commemorate Fourth of July! Scoop prices are reasonable and they allow single splits without charging extra, which is a plus.

Ice Cream: I was a tad disappointed in my flavors (Pumpkin and Strawberry Cheesecake) on my first visit; both needed more flavor and sweetness. Texture was thick yet slightly icy.

On my second visit, I tried two classic flavors (Cookies & Cream, Green Tea), which were nicely flavored and creamy.

Will definitely go back to try their frozen Greek yogurt!

I came across here on a beautiful day and was craving for some ice cream. Was greeted and welcomed by one of their friendly staffs, she explained to me they offer ice cream and gelatos and the different flavors they carry.
