San Francisco | The Best Smash Burger I’ve Ever Tasted So Far

Updated Review: Beep's is awesome for those late dinners. They are open until 10pm. A lot of restaurants in this area close around 9pm. I had the 1/2 pound cheese burger with a fried egg $12.70 and garlic fries $5. I enjoy sitting on the little metal ledge around the restaurant talking to strangers. People here are friendly and from this neighborhood. We share a common trait, a love for Beep's burgers. Please note onions and pickles are available upon request. They don't include it in your burger if you don't ask for it. Original review: Outdoor dining 3/31/2021. Beep's makes a very tasty burger. I had the 1/2 pound Beep's burger w/Swiss cheese and egg $12 and garlic fries $4.50. The 1/2 pound burger is 2 x 1/4 pound patties stacked on top of one another. The burger is very juicy so eat it over a plate or the bag. The egg is well done and not runny in the middle. I really liked how they used fresh leafy lettuce and that slice of raw union. The meat was perfectly cooked and just melts when I chew it. The garlic fries were good. They are not as good as the ones at the Giant's game though. Beep's garlic fries is missing that raw garlic burn but still better than most garlic fries I had. Tips: Ask for ranch for the fries. Raw onion slice and pickles on the burger are not included, you have to ask for it.

Good deal for the price. Beep's special doesn't stand out but meat quality is good. Fries are ok. Want to try the shakes next time.Sometimes you have this craving for a burger. Of course, right after the new year I made a commitment to eat healthier. However, as I drive by this traditional burger house which looks like right out of Back to the Future....as I smell the fries and Angus beef patties.... I just had to take a cheat meal. I wanted to grade this in several parts because I take my burgers seriously. 1. Beef was good quality, with enough fat content and a good grill marks. 2. Buns were slightly toasted, I would say above average. 3. Tomatoes and onions were sufficient although I do like grilled onions, really grilled. 4. I got the Beep's burger to try the Beep's sauce. Either there was not enough or couldn't taste it. So didn't really distinguish itself tastewise in that regard. I would say it's in the Five Guys range of Burger but not as good as Shake Shack or In n Out. And the fries were more of Burger King quality and not good enough frying quality. Still definitely a good burger and satisfied my cravings. As for wife's chicken sandwich, I think I wouldn't come again as it needed more seasoning and was just a normal sandwich.

I am beyond disappointed with my meal from Beep’s Burger tonight. I ordered a Beep’s Burger and fish and chips, and both were absolute disasters. To start, the burger was cooked in pork, which neither my friend nor I consume for either health or religious reasons. This is a significant issue that was not disclosed anywhere on their menu or website.

The fish and chips were just as appalling. The fish was overcooked to the point of being inedible, and the fillets were the smallest, most pathetic pieces of fish I’ve ever encountered. This was far from the quality I remember from years ago when I used to frequent Beep’s. Nostalgia led me to revisit, and I deeply regret that decision. This was, without a doubt, the worst meal I’ve ever had from Beep’s.

The fries were another letdown—they were barely warm when I received my order.

In frustration, I called the restaurant to inquire if it was standard practice to cook their beef in pork residue. The woman who answered insisted there was no pork involved. When I pressed further, pointing out that they offer bacon as a burger topping, she then admitted that the bacon is cooked in the morning, and the burger patties are cooked later on the same grill. Essentially, she confirmed that the bacon is not freshly cooked upon request, which is, quite frankly, disgusting.

She also claimed the bacon is cooked on a separate part of the grill, but that is clearly false, as the distinct taste of pork was evident in my burger. Her apology was appreciated, but this situation is completely unacceptable.

Nowhere on their website or menu does it indicate that pork residue is used in cooking their burgers. It’s common sense—and courtesy—to separate pork from other meats, especially given that many people avoid pork for dietary or religious reasons. If they can’t even manage this basic level of food preparation, I shudder to think about the treatment of vegetarian or vegan options.

To add insult to injury, when I requested a refund, I was told I’d need to return to the restaurant with the food. I had already discarded the meal in disgust, and I live on Treasure Island, making a return trip completely unreasonable.

Both my friend and I now have stomach aches and feel unwell after eating at Beep’s. We were perfectly fine before this meal.

How incredibly...

Nestled in the heart of San Francisco, Beep's Burgers is a hidden gem that promises a classic American burger experience with a local touch. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed with the unassuming charm and delicious offerings of this neighborhood eatery.

Walking into Beep's, I was immediately struck by the cozy and retro vibe, reminiscent of a time when great burgers were a culinary art form. The walls adorned with vintage memorabilia and the welcoming atmosphere set the stage for a laid-back dining experience that felt like a step back in time.

The menu at Beep's Burgers is a testament to simplicity done right. Offering a variety of burgers, fries, and shakes, the focus here is on quality rather than an overwhelming array of options. I opted for their signature Beep's Burger, and I was blown away by the succulent patty, fresh vegetables, and perfectly toasted bun – a symphony of flavors that showcased the attention to detail in crafting each burger.

What sets Beep's apart is not just the delectable food but also the friendly and attentive service. The staff exuded genuine hospitality, making me feel like a valued guest. Their passion for delivering a memorable dining experience was evident in their willingness to accommodate special requests and their eagerness to ensure satisfaction.

Beep's Burgers also offers a cozy outdoor seating area, providing a perfect spot to enjoy your meal while soaking in the San Francisco atmosphere. The restaurant's central location makes it a convenient stop for both locals and visitors looking for a taste of authentic, no-frills burger goodness.

In conclusion, Beep's Burgers in San Francisco is a must-try for burger aficionados and anyone seeking a taste of classic Americana. The combination of nostalgic ambiance, friendly service, and mouthwatering burgers make Beep's a standout destination in the city's culinary landscape. I wholeheartedly recommend Beep's Burgers for a trip back in time and a delightful journey for...

What happened to this place?? I used to work here back in 2015 and the way we used to provide service was so drastically different from what I experienced today. I haven’t had Beep’s since 2015 and I was finally back in the city after so many years and was looking forward to eating a burger from my favorite (now ex) burger spot. We requested 1 lettuce-wrapped and 2 regular quarter pounders. I paid and then realized the receipt said 2 lettuce-wrapped… I went to talk to her, and she rang us for another 1/4 pounder. So I paid AGAIN. When our order was ready, we double checked by asking the lady (a different one) that the bag contains 3 burgers— 1 lettuce-wrapped and 2 regular quarters. She confirmed yes. So we trusted them (our mistake) and went back to my friend’s house which is just 2 blocks away. When we sat down and reached into the bag, there were only 2 boxes… We came back out and spoke with the lady who gave us our bag and she repeatedly insisted that we were LYING. She eventually goes to speak with the staff and a different lady (third one by now) comes and tells us that we only paid for 2. HELLO? The 2 receipts are stapled onto the bag and it clearly says 3 burgers! I even brought out the 2 receipts they gave me. All of which they didn’t even take a glance at! But even then, IT’S IN YOUR SYSTEM. CHECK IT BEFORE YOU CLAIM THAT I AM LYING. We watched the staff rudely talk about us before finally handing us the 3rd burger we RIGHTFULLY paid for. I used to recommend this place to all my friends who visit San Francisco, but I cannot anymore.

If you decide to eat here, just know that you are taking the risk of losing your money if they mess up your order, because they most likely will not take accountability for...
