I am beyond disappointed with my meal from Beep’s Burger tonight. I ordered a Beep’s Burger and fish and chips, and both were absolute disasters. To start, the burger was cooked in pork, which neither my friend nor I consume for either health or religious reasons. This is a significant issue that was not disclosed anywhere on their menu or website.
The fish and chips were just as appalling. The fish was overcooked to the point of being inedible, and the fillets were the smallest, most pathetic pieces of fish I’ve ever encountered. This was far from the quality I remember from years ago when I used to frequent Beep’s. Nostalgia led me to revisit, and I deeply regret that decision. This was, without a doubt, the worst meal I’ve ever had from Beep’s.
The fries were another letdown—they were barely warm when I received my order.
In frustration, I called the restaurant to inquire if it was standard practice to cook their beef in pork residue. The woman who answered insisted there was no pork involved. When I pressed further, pointing out that they offer bacon as a burger topping, she then admitted that the bacon is cooked in the morning, and the burger patties are cooked later on the same grill. Essentially, she confirmed that the bacon is not freshly cooked upon request, which is, quite frankly, disgusting.
She also claimed the bacon is cooked on a separate part of the grill, but that is clearly false, as the distinct taste of pork was evident in my burger. Her apology was appreciated, but this situation is completely unacceptable.
Nowhere on their website or menu does it indicate that pork residue is used in cooking their burgers. It’s common sense—and courtesy—to separate pork from other meats, especially given that many people avoid pork for dietary or religious reasons. If they can’t even manage this basic level of food preparation, I shudder to think about the treatment of vegetarian or vegan options.
To add insult to injury, when I requested a refund, I was told I’d need to return to the restaurant with the food. I had already discarded the meal in disgust, and I live on Treasure Island, making a return trip completely unreasonable.
Both my friend and I now have stomach aches and feel unwell after eating at Beep’s. We were perfectly fine before this meal.
How incredibly...

Read moreWhat happened to this place?? I used to work here back in 2015 and the way we used to provide service was so drastically different from what I experienced today. I haven’t had Beep’s since 2015 and I was finally back in the city after so many years and was looking forward to eating a burger from my favorite (now ex) burger spot. We requested 1 lettuce-wrapped and 2 regular quarter pounders. I paid and then realized the receipt said 2 lettuce-wrapped… I went to talk to her, and she rang us for another 1/4 pounder. So I paid AGAIN. When our order was ready, we double checked by asking the lady (a different one) that the bag contains 3 burgers— 1 lettuce-wrapped and 2 regular quarters. She confirmed yes. So we trusted them (our mistake) and went back to my friend’s house which is just 2 blocks away. When we sat down and reached into the bag, there were only 2 boxes… We came back out and spoke with the lady who gave us our bag and she repeatedly insisted that we were LYING. She eventually goes to speak with the staff and a different lady (third one by now) comes and tells us that we only paid for 2. HELLO? The 2 receipts are stapled onto the bag and it clearly says 3 burgers! I even brought out the 2 receipts they gave me. All of which they didn’t even take a glance at! But even then, IT’S IN YOUR SYSTEM. CHECK IT BEFORE YOU CLAIM THAT I AM LYING. We watched the staff rudely talk about us before finally handing us the 3rd burger we RIGHTFULLY paid for. I used to recommend this place to all my friends who visit San Francisco, but I cannot anymore.
If you decide to eat here, just know that you are taking the risk of losing your money if they mess up your order, because they most likely will not take accountability for...
