My partner and I came in this morning to check out the fruit barn and particularly the floral side for a small bouquet. There was no one at the counter when we wanted to inquire about the price of the bouquet we were interested in. We waited a while and finally had to go to the regular grocery side to check out. When we finally got a price from the florist they seemed not friendliest and said it was $25 for a small bouquet. My partner and I looked at each other feeling like that's pretty steep and in the end bought it because we wasted a bit of time and we needed one as a gift. Overall we were disappointed with the interaction, the price, and the quality of the flowers. There was only one bouquet made and it seems like it was a day or two old. We understand small business and that flowers cost alot of money these days but you also have to consider the area in which you are serving which is mostly a working class BIPOC community and should price your items accordingly so it's accessable to everyone in the community that your store front is occupying.

Read moreThe Fruit Barn is where I go for all my grocery needs. From fruit and vegetables (always fresh), to deli items, breads, canned foods, pasta’s, Classico pasta sauce, I could go on but the review would be as long as a Tom Clancy novel! Anything you can get at the large chain food outlets can be found here. The Fruit Barn just got accepted by the EBT program and you can use your Cal-Fresh cards there!! There is an on site flower shop with both cut and potted plants. My cats really groove on the canned fish here, from tuna to salmon, yeah they are spoiled rotten, but still get the occasional mouse and rat in the neighborhood. I will never set foot in Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s again.Thank you to the very exceptional staff at the Fruit Barn for bringing back the feel of the old time general store, you are the finest group of...
