Bitchin' Baklava — Restaurant in San Francisco

This business is a gem! I was in that area with family for dinner. Searching for " desserts " nearby this business came up. Only baklava? That's right, (basically) only baklava. Walking through the door you feel like you've entered another world, at least now during COVID-19. There must be 15 to 20 different versions of baklava available. And at 7:00 p.m. on a Sunday night most were still available. The owner/baker couldn't have been more friendly and was excited to describe different items. We picked up two boxes of 8 varieties. Turns out, if stored properly baklava will remain fresh up to 2 weeks. Upshot, if you're in the area it's more than worth a visit. If you like baklava I guess...

Susan offers a variety of high quality phyllo pastries. The storefront is an Egyptian restaurant, so I was confused at first. I showed up for a custom order with vegan butter and she had them ready first thing the next day morning. Contrary to the title, there was no b%$^@n at all. You'll only be screaming how good they are afterwards! A little sweet for me, but I'm a freak that counts carbohydrates on a near daily basis. If you pay for it in cash you won't have to pay tax. Found this place a few years ago when they reopened after the pandemic. I've been thinking about it since then, and finally did a bike ride to the outer Richmond just to get some. The owner is a super nice lady and their baklavas are amazing. 8 for $20 is also a steal in this day and age! I definitely highly recommend this place if you are ever in the area. Just remember to ring the bell loudly if she's not at the door during the day. One of these days I have to come back to try out the Egyptian...
