Sunset Edwardian Bed and Breakfast at Golden Gate Park — Hotel in San Francisco

5/3/24 room 1. Top of stairs on the right. Got a text with information on accessing room via keypad so that was a breeze. I texted back with question but didn’t get an answer. Didn’t bother to try again. Large room with 3 beds. Room was not very clean. Lots of webs on the ceiling and some dust on the sills and shelves. Bedding was ok. Sheets and towels were clean but towels were thin. Shower and WC was dirty but not filthy. Most surfaces seemed to be clean. Breakfast was a bagel, box of cereal, and a glass of juice. WARNING: Door do not lock from inside!!!. That was a big issue for me. Was able to drag a bed to block the door. At night room mostly quiet. Close to the park, East access to bus and conveniences. Overall not bad for $100 but likely wouldn’t stay again. Better value can be found...

I stayed in the sunset-facing room and had a lovely view of the western San Francisco skyline. Shower pressure good. Firm and supportive pillows. Two nights of the best sleep of my life. The decor was tasteful and neatly organized. I could find whatever I needed. The bathroom and shower were also clean and shampoo was supplied. They even supplied a hairdryer and mini fridge which was handy. The breakfast was served early at 7:30 and was simple and got the job done. Most of all though, was the owner who was welcoming and accomadating to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Gave me my privacy throughout the stay and was even prompt with clean towels quickly. They were also kind enough to set up a slideshow of restaurants nearby as well as transit and some sights to see in walking distance....
