Drinks were just fine for a hiked up price tag. Service was below standard and made the entire experience undesirable. I would not recommend coming here.
I made a reservation for my party in advance because we wanted to be seated at a table and have the allotted 90 minutes to enjoy our drinks. When we arrived, the party ahead of us was still seated at our assigned table. The person who greeted us suggested that we sit at the bar to begin and once the table opens up, we can move over to the table/booth. Our party agreed and we sat at the bar and ordered our initial drinks.
I happened to look behind and saw that a new party was seated at our booth. I looked around for the person who initially seated us at the bar and they were talking with another server and pointing towards my party and our reserved table. I realized that there must have been miscommunication between the two servers. Our server that seated us did not tell the other servers that our party was to be seated at that booth once it opened and so, the second server just seated the next party thinking that my group must have been a no show. The servers never came up to us to clarify anything so we just stayed at the bar; which would have been perfectly fine with my group if we had not been rushed by the server working the bar. One of the bartenders grabbed my just finished drink the second I set it down on the bar while the other bartender started to wipe down the bar in front of us while we still had other unfinished drinks there. While I understand that the bar is for walk in seating, I had made a reservation so that my group could relax and enjoy our time at a table/booth.
It was very unfortunate that due to a lack of communication between the staff, my group was never seated at our reserved table and we were rushed and given substandard customer service. Because of what happened, I would not recommend this...
Read moreI am 100% certain this is the first and last review I will ever make.
I encountered the most incompetent bartender in my entire life. From the moment we walked in he had a bad attitude and was abrasive. He openly listened in on our group conversations and tried to correct us on things we were privately discussing when no one asked for his opinion. He was rude and would just hover around us. At one point I asked him if he would leave us alone. I’ve never experienced something like this before so i wasn’t sure how to take it.
If you are coming here definitely stick to the lounges as they look like they could be fun with a group of friends (and that way you won’t have to deal with said bartender). The manager/host who caters to the lounges seems to have more social awareness/intelligence.
The drinks are very basic yet cost $20 minimum.
With so many other options in San Francisco I really can’t see why I would ever go back. Based on this experience I won’t ever recommend or endorse this place to my circle of friends or...
Read moreAs a local, I'd say give this place a pass sadly. The drinks are quite expensive, and they sound creative but taste bland and boring. In a city full of quality cocktail bars, this menu is not meeting expectations. If you charge as much or more than Trick Dog (arguably the best cocktail bar in the world) then you need to step up your game. In the area, classic cocktails at Comstock or a casual martini upstairs at Vesuvio would be stronger choices.
The venue itself is tastefully decorated and the seating comfortable, though I do judge a place on the quality of all their facilities, and noticed the bathrooms here were a bit of an afterthought in comparison with the price/aesthetic tier the venues in this building are aiming for, with missing/burnt out/mismatched lightbulbs in the hollywood vanity mirror lighting and really cheap feeling paper towels.
Overall best for: drinking on someone else's dime when in SF for work or an...
