This hotel was a little tough to find, especially during a busy weekend in the city. Prior to, I did not know there is no parking, so I had to park 2 blocks in a parking garage. At least the garage was next door to a police station, so I felt more comfortable with that. Immediately upon entrance, I felt taken back in time, but in a good way. You have to walk up a flight of narrow stairs, and walk down a narrow hallway to get to the desk. Robert, the soft spoken receptionist, was very friendly and welcoming. Keys to the rooms are real keys, not card keys. My room was very quaint, with a vintage flairThe room was very neat, and clean. There is a lingering scent that tells you it’s an old building, however, it was not overwhelming. There is no AC, but it was not needed with this time of the year. The one knob wall vented heater works great! Bed was super comfy, did not want to get out of it the next morning. No breakfast, but there are plenty of cafes just steps away with wonderful food. My stay was only for one night, but I would definitely return again. I truly appreciated the...
Read moreHotel Boheme felt like stepping back in time, and we loved every minute of it. The room was cozy, with a charming color scheme and thoughtful decorations that added to its vintage appeal. The bed and linens were exceptionally comfortable, making for a great night’s rest.
The hotel sits right on busy Columbus Avenue, where the neighborhood buzzes with both tourists and locals. In the evenings, nearby restaurants often had live music that added to the atmosphere, though it quieted down nicely after 10 p.m.
Nick at the front desk was wonderful—friendly, helpful, and full of great recommendations for local dining and things to do. The location couldn’t have been better; we were within a 10–15 minute drive of all the major attractions, and many great spots were within easy walking distance. There’s even a local market just a block away, perfect for picking up snacks and drinks for the room.
Overall, Hotel Boheme was an absolute delight—a warm, nostalgic stay in the heart...
Read moreAfter a long Qantas flight from Sydney to LA and then LA to SF I arrived tired at my hotel. Access was difficult carrying my 23kg suitcase up two flights of narrow stairs. It smelt - both musty and of some other smell. It was hot, no airflow at all (they supplied a small fan as no air conditioning) . The bathroom fan, which I put on to try for some airflow, was very noisy. There was little space to put anything, and the TV was sitting on a table not much bigger than my MacBook Pro screen. No power points and I went to the "reception" to borrow an adapter (they did not have one), where two reception women were sharing pizza. Internet access was very poor dropping in and out and extremely slow. No tea and coffee access, no fridge. On the way out (I did not stay), a man, also staying in the hotel threatened to punch me in the face, swore at me. I left for another hotel losing a...
