Connecticut Yankee — Restaurant in San Francisco

I went today and two employees that were there were extremely demeaning and rude. I just went in wondering if they were playing a game that was on and every tv was on commercial at that point so I couldn’t tell. It was a simple question but the server told me she wouldn’t know so then I asked her kindly if it would be possible to turn one tv onto the game I was hoping to watch and she said she didn’t know anything about it. Then the other employee at the bar asked if he could help but after hearing my question he was extremely rude, laughed at me and said to me “oh honey you’re so adorable just take a look at the tvs and you’ll be able to see”. Unless there is a way to figure out what game is playing based off the commercials then I don’t think I’m unreasonable in asking. I responded that I just didn’t know if any tvs were playing it and if he could just tell me but he refused to tell me.

However, it’s absolutely appalling in this day and age as a woman to have to tolerate a middle aged man saying that to me especially when he is an employee of the establishment. It’s one thing to not be willing to answer my question but to be rude and demeaning was completely uncalled for.

I’ve been a couple of times when it’s been fine and I used to enjoy watching games there even though the food is very mid. Gave two stars because i like the neighborhood, there is a good amount of seating, and there have been kinder servers on other days that work there but the service that is there today was absolutely inappropriate and I hope no one else will ever have to tolerate that...

I was there on Weds 12/4 ordered a few drinks. My first order was two shots. The second time I went to the bar, I ordered a Guinness. I waited over 10 mins at the bar counter and still didn’t get my drink. Then I tried to get bartender’s attention but she continued to ignore me so I asked the other bartender. The second bartender told me in a rude manner that the drink was not ordered on my tab. I told her I ordered it from the other bartender over 10 mins ago, to which she repeated that it’s not on my tab. Then she asked if I wanted her to place the order. That’s an obvious answer but I kindly said yes. It took another 5 mins to get my drink.

Even with the terrible service I still left a tip. My bill was $35.03 and I tipped $3 considering the poor service. So total of $38.03

The next day, I checked my credit card online and saw that a total of $41.03 was charged to my card. This is not a big difference but the principle that an additional $3 was added illegally. I want to address my concerns as if this happened to me, how many other customers have been cheated as well?

I sent them a message via Yelp but no reply. I wouldn’t...

Worst Service I've ever experienced. The waitress was not only extremely rude but treated us with animosity, like she was mad that we were there from the moment we sat down. We basically sat in silence because we were afraid of her. It was my friend's birthday and she completely ruined our evening. I have never in my life been treated that way by someone let alone someone who is in the service industry. I was a server for over 10 years and would have never been allowed to act that way in any of the establishments I worked....it was surreal. It's the next day and I still am upset by the experience. We live very close and it is a place we would have loved to frequents with our dog as we can just walk right over but I can confidently say we will not be returning and will be discouraging our neighbors from supporting this business in any way.
