If you can, do NOT EAT IN THIS PLACE. I repeat, DO NOT EAT IN THIS PLACE.

But if you happen to feel adventurous and eat in here anyway, here is my experience eating in this place:

1. MISINFORMATION: Do not trust the image shown in the restaurant. The food does not even remotely looks like it and it seems they took it from google.
2. MOLD: Yes, there are mold sometimes when I ordered the soup. It seems they just reheat the stuff from the fridge.
3. SPITS: The next time you give low tips, be careful of SPITS in your FOOD. Due to the molded soup last time I had, I gave them low tips and the next time I came there I saw what seems like someone's spits. When confronted, they deny it.
4. TIPS: If you have, bring cash or else they will ADD THEIR OWN TIPS with a ridiculous amount. They have their own policy if you have not spend $20 you have to pay with cash. They did this to avoid TAXES. Furthermore, If you do not know about this policy and give them card anyway, they will WRITE THEIR OWN TIPS until exceeding $20. One time they write their own 30% tips and you wouldn't know it if you don't count it because they already included in the bill. When confronted the clerk will play dumb. But then again, this seems better than getting spits on your food.
5. RACE PRIORITY: They will PRIORITIZE CHINESE. Even though you are Asian, they do not care and will prioritize Chinese people for services and more likely to play tricks from people who do not came from China.

Other than that, enjoy your spit filled, molded food....

We didn't order any Chinese roasted meats here, but I heard it's not as good as Ming Kee's. My parents and I just had a casual dinner here, and it was ok.

Apparently, the staff from Mayflower on Geary moved here after it closed. Mayflower was very adept at making Cantonese broths, and it's still pretty tasty here. The Soup of the Day (Lai Tong) had a pretty developed flavor. There was a good amount of pork, veggies, dates, and other Chinese ingredients I don't know the English names of. It may not be as refined as Mayflower's, but it was still pretty good.

The Clear Broth Beef Brisket (Ching Tong Ngau Lam) was so-so. The brisket was tender, but it wasn't that flavorful. The broth also needed more anise or other spices for some more depth. I also thought that it had too much Chinese pickles in it that gave it more of a briny flavor. Ever since Harbor Village in the Embarcadero shut down, I don't think I've come across a good version of this dish in the States.

Our last dish was Stir Fried Cod Fillet. There was a good amount of fish pieces, but they were also pretty bland. Bonus points for yellow chives, but it still needed to be more aromatic. There was lots of broccoli so at least it's healthy I guess.

Dessert was Red Bean Soup. My mom loves the stuff, but I can't stand the overpowering flavor of the dried orange peel. If that's your thing, knock...

I usually wait outside when my mom goes to buy the prepared food here. We usually get the pig intestines, which is sold by the pound. The intestines itself doesn't weigh a lot, but today the worker decided to weigh the sauce liquid with the intestines which made the weight heavier. It usually cost us about $14 for the intestines, but today it came out to be $26.

Obviously, this was a little shocking, so my mom asked why it cost so much today since we usually frequent this place buying the same things and know the average price.

The worker rudely and abruptly responded "don't buy it if you don't have money". (In Chinese)

So we ended up not buying it, and...
