Hazel's Kitchen has some of the best sandwiches around.🥰 We have been coming here for years (late 90's), never disappointed!! Will cross a bridge when craving a good deli sandwich. I don't stray too far from a personal favorite, "build your own," sliced dark rye, turkey, regular mayo, yellow mustard, lettuce, tomato, avocado and pickle. Huge sandwich, saved the other half for later🥪💫. Prices are incredibly reasonable, staff is super friendly, always nice and fast!!! Best Portrero Hill location for walking around and hanging out. Tons of menu options, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, etc, etc, etc. Seating table area outside is close by and shaded. Will continue to cross a bridge or two for a great deli sandwich, bagel sandwich, wrap sandwich, all the sandwiches!🥪🥯🌯✊🏼

I came here 2 days in a row! I first had the 5a sandwich without bacon so it was it was vegetarian. I thought I would only eat half but I ended up eating the whole sandwich because it was yummy and not too heavy. I ordered the seeded roll. The second day I ordered half a chicken sandwich (grilled) which was good and a cup of soup (both are the same price of a full sandwich). Wow, the gazpacho soup was amazing! It’s a cold tomato soup with cucumber. It was a great surprise. I think the sandwich needed a bit more cheese but it was good too. The staff is super friendly, prices are fair and I liked the atmosphere. Plus they gave me my sandwich in less than 5 min! They have some tables outside to sit down.

While visiting a friend in Potrero Hill neighborhood, I was craving a breakfast burrito. Hazel’s has one of the best around, and I came back every day I was in town. I told my friends and soon they joined me and also swore by this breakfast. They’re quick, kind, and affordable. There aren’t dedicated seats, but there are benches built around the trees, and while I was there, this section of 18th street was closed to cars, so you could chill in the street and eat. Farley’s next door is also pretty chill about letting folks use their outdoor seating. Overall, fully recommend Hazel’s for their breakfast burrito!

I've walked by this little spot about 14 times now and it's always grabbed my attention. Whether it be the friendly people welcoming you inside or the cute store front that captures the heart of every entrepreneur in this big little city. Hazel's kitchen makes great food too! I just finished my Tuscan Chicken sandwich on a Dutch Crunch roll and it was superb! There was a lit of spread on it but this is coming from someone who eats salad without dressing. Other than that little tidbit the flavors were mouthwatering. The Tomatoes tasted like Tomatoes and Lettuce tasted like Lettuce, and... you get the point. Honestly though, everything was FRESH. The flavors meshed well and I can't wait to head back that direction to check out their...
