Healthyish Bakery — Restaurant in San Francisco

I stopped in for a Keto cupcake, which was excellent. If you're not into healthy dieting, I don't think you'll understand this place or the textures associated with paleo/keto. Menu items are not a 1:1 replacement but a healthy version of foods that are not so healthy.

As an example, the cupcakes are made from almond flour. Which is definitely a tad more dry compared to a regular cupcake. It's like comparing apples to oranges. Both fruits, but totally different tastes and textures.

With that being said, it was an excellent keto cupcake, but it was definitely not like a standard bakery cupcake. However, as someone who has eaten healthy for 20 + years, my taste buds have changed, and I dont like standard baked goods, but I do enjoy keto/paleo alternatives.

We ordered through Healthyish Republic in San Francisco and were able to pick up our food pretty soon after. It's actually just a food delivery area for a bunch of restaurants so it's full of delivery folks. Just know there's not a place to sit and eat. As for the food it was very nicely presented. But we have been on keto for years and we found the desserts to be SUPER sweet. Like I don't know if we can finish them. We tried the cookie, cupcake, and fatbombs. But that's such a personal thing. Cupcakes were VERY dry, but the frosting was actually really good and not too sweet. Lemonade wasn't as overpoweringly sweet so it was actually quite pleasant. after 4 months on keto and tremendous results, I made the decision not to have a cheat meal on my birthday.

While everyone ordered pho, I googled “keto friendly in SF.” I would have to admit, I was super jealous of everyone indulging in their carbs.

BUT LET ME TELL YOU, this place deserves more than 5 stars after eating the garlic shrimp Alfredo. I went to heaven and back .. five times.

I am salivating thinking about their food, and their cupcakes! The carrot cake was divine. They are to die!!
