Garfield Playground — Attraction in San Francisco

This is my favorite local playground. Everyone is friendly and kids are encouraged to play together. Has a range of age-appropriatness, which can be hard to find. The vibe there is so great.

The only problem is SF Rec & Park has totally neglected the grounds. The sand is very low, there's broken equipment, and the rubber outdoor ground cover is falling apart. Shame on Rec & Park for not maintaining this important Mission...

This playground has everything your small child needs: slides for older and younger kids, a small but serviceable sandbox, some dinosaurs to ride, two swings (for teeny kids only), and last but not least a telephone. I would give this park 5 stars if the City and County of San Francisco does something about all these vagrants drinking cans of beer from their paper bags. Otherwise the sheer schizophrenia that has become of our once proud city continues its...
