I was incredibly heartbroken when Tycoon closed. I thought they were yet another restaurant that fell victim to the issues happening in the Tenderloin. But I'm happy to report that they are back with a new name and a new menu. They are now called Louder, and I've been told the menu is more focused on Laotian food since there's so many Thai places in the TL. From their soft opening menu, I've had their Louder crispy rolls. They were delicious! The pork was juicy and the rice paper was fried to perfection. It also came with large pieces of lettuce and noodles.. I guess I was supposed to make a roll out of it but I ate it in a deconstructed way. The sauce was sweet and had a good kick. The soft opening menu had it listed under salads, but it's now under the Louder heading. Since it's the same people running this restaurant, I decided to get Pad Thai, since Tycoon's has been my absolute favorite. I'm happy to report that it's still the same! The tamarind just shines through. They did change the tofu and I really like the new version. They're larger and airier. The price did go up, which was expected. But maybe it's just me because I hadn't had their Pad Thai in awhile, but it seems the portion got a little bigger. I usually can eat the whole thing, but now I could only eat half. They changed their decor to shades of dark orange. And the lighting is darker too, so it kinda feels more intimate. But not so awkward where you couldn't dine a friend. Service is still top notch and I got my food pretty quickly, like maybe less than 10mins. I'm so happy of their new concept! I'm not familiar with Laotian food, so I'm excited to try many more things on their menu.

Great, friendly and quick service. Comfortable seating. Good vibe music. Super clean restaurant. We're greeted with Land of Smiles, indeed. Food was great, reasonable price. We also ordered Togo for a late night snack and was very well cared and packed. We got everything we ordered and wanted. So far...This place offers the closest to Authentic Thai.

I ordered Tom Teen Zap and Kra Dook Moo Tod. The soup tasted as good as usual, but the Kra Dook Moo Tod wasn't the same this time. It was overcooked, not tender, too hard, and more crispy with a darker color. I hope my feedback helps if the restaurant is considering changing the recipe — I personally think the original version was much better.

We will never ever eat here again. A giant piece of PLASTIC cooked and melted on the moo yang. We take it back and she throws a fit because we asked for more rice because the rice we have now is cold due to having to go back to this restaurant to exchange for a plate of pork WITHOUT MELTED PLASTIC WRAP IN IT. 4 TO 5 INCHES OF PLASTIC WRAP. MELTED ON THE PORK. And Do not yell at my husband ma'am let alone in front of other customers. All around a terrible look for you. Sad part you just lost super loyal customers. We literally order from you once a week if not several times a week to support you and you yell at my husband and couldn't even give us a small box of HOT rice. #23 Melted plastic wrap Moo Yang...

Louder Restaurants is a true hidden gem, serving bold and authentic Lao-Thai fusion that tastes just like home. From the perfectly seasoned larb to the rich, comforting khao soi, every dish bursts with flavor. Their papaya salad packs the perfect crunch and heat, staying true to its roots.

With warm service and a cozy atmosphere, this spot is a must-visit for anyone craving real Lao-Thai cuisine. Highly...
