Halal Wings Plus — Restaurant in San Francisco

Really solid wings! They tend to be in the smaller side, so don't be afraid to order in a larger quantity than you might be used to.

I tried Original Spicy, Honey Garlic, and Lemon Pepper.

Original Spicy - I was told this was like buffalo sauce, but it actually seemed like it was based on sambal oelek (also found as Asian chili-garlic sauce). I'm not complaining, because it was delicious, and spicy. Just don't expect classic buffalo.

Honey Garlic - this had a chili element to it that gave it a pleasant spice. Less spicy than Original, and very tasty.

Lemon Pepper - this is my go-to favorite flavor when ordering wings, and these did not let me down. They seemed a little more bold with the pepper than some other places, and I really dig that.

There's a Spicy Lemon Pepper on the menu that I'll definitely be trying next time!

No carrots and celery sticks, so we ordered a salad. $4 gets you a mountain of chopped lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and onion. I'd still prefer basic carrots and celery, but I'm not complaining much when the portion is so generous.

Place was very dirty when I took my guests here. Stuff on the floor, etc. I ordered $12 veg burger but it had no patty, just greasy veggies inside. I was shocked lol what’s a burger without a patty? It was not mentioned in the description. We went to the counter to ask for a return or if anything could be done. They said the manager not present, they cant do a refund/credit without permission. They said we can come next day to have another burger, just show receipt to manager. Since nothing could be done about the burger my husband and the guests reluctantly ate it just to finish it. We dont throw away or waste food like in many cultures. My guest who was staying in the area went next day with receipt, the manager refused to offer a burger by saying we ate it. It was a burger without a patty no one liked. Were we supposed to throw it away? Should have told us beforehand. We ordered so much stuff from them and they still gave us poor customer service. I recently went to Halal Wings Plus and I have to say, my first impression was a bit doubtful. The place didn't look too inviting from the outside – kind of old and not really well-kept. When I walked in, I noticed the tables weren't the cleanest either, which made me wonder if I made the right choice coming here.

But, I decided to stay and give it a try. I ordered some chicken wings. While waiting, I used their restroom and, oddly enough, it was super clean. Now, let's talk about the wings – they were amazing! Seriously, they were so good that I almost forgot about my first impression of the place. The flavors were just right, and the wings were cooked perfectly. And another plus, the guy at the counter told me their food is halal, which is great for those who look for that.
