Martha & Bros. Coffee Co. has about 6-7 locations around San Francisco, but my favorite is their Church St. location. I spent every morning for six straight months working out of this locally & family owned Coffee Company. If you are looking for a coffee place to work the full day - make sure to come fully charged (there is only one charging outlet located by the drink refrigerator. If you are looking for a tasty little treat definitely try their Katrina Shake.

The ambiance is amazing, good vibes the minute you walk in. Great menu, the bagel I order was bigger than I expected and it had enough cream cheese, not cheap made. I love their coffee, first time here from out of town. Forget the chain coffee places and support this San Fransisco gem.

Neighborhood coffee spot that always makes you feel at home. The women who work here are so kind and are always having a good time which puts you in a gr8 mood in the morning. Highly recommend: - churro late - marble bread and banana bread - breakfast bagel

I’m so torn about this place. But after $hitting for a month and losing 5 lbs the first time I thought it was a fluke. I have a severe milk intolerance that most workers treat as an inconvenient preference. I had no idea why I was so I’ll the first time, but suspected it was Martha’s.

After a week of finally feeling better, I returned. What a mistake.

Today I kept an eagle eyed watch over the beverage making process. I saw the woman who I believe is the manager/owner pour hot dairy milk into my drink to mix the spices, then pour in espresso followed by the oat milk I ordered. Surely i was mistaken, I thought, surely she wouldn’t pour in dairy before pouring oat milk. I didn’t argue and drank it anyway. Colossal mistake! After just a few hours, I’m now writing this from the toilet.

I have a chronic illness — this isn’t just a preference. This could put me in the hospital and leave me permanently disabled (in an extreme case). I’m annoyed that some folks won’t take this serious at Martha’s.

This is on top of the same woman verbally berating one of her underlings (my partner was so aghast that she informed me of the incident). It’s a shame that she’s the one running the place.

Lesson learned; I have a rapport with one of the baristas. If that barista is working the machine, I’ll get my latte. If not, I’m turning around...

A quaint neighborhood coffee and sandwich shop. Martha's team did an outstanding job answering the challenge of maintaining local flavor while providing A class service to its diverse customer base. From busy moms out for a stroller jog to seniors and their four legged friends, established professional contract workers as well as self-made, boot strapping, work-from-home enthusiasts all find an environment that supports their daily living and gives that little extra boost of energy and confidence. Great sandwiches, pastries, smoothies, coffee and tea. Amazingly attentive staff which makes you feel good with their sunny smiles and attitudes. Overall, the place to get a quick cup to go or sit down with your laptop and get some work done over a...

I came in there one morning and it was busy. Nothing wrong with busy but how well they manage to work the line of customers. The staff was friendly and engaging. They have a lot of pastries that at times clog their countertop. Ordering was OK. The counter for the sugar and other stuff was somewhat small. It was off to the side near the order counter which made it easy to have people bump into you. I felt like I had to rush to get everything in my coffee so not to get hit. The mocha I had was not too flavorful. It had a nice design on top. Also it was way too hot to handle even with a sleeve on it. It too a while for my drink to cool down enough to drink it. Overall, an OK place if it is...
