Rumours that this gem was remodeled were found to be untrue. Its safety features were brought (mostly) to the modern age.

Though I am a huge fan of massive splinters myself--encourages strategic thought & navigation skills--the wee-one in the fam is less so, preferring to embody a young Zeus, after sliding down modern slides. From which the powerful static charge generated feels as though it belongs in a Marvel or Michael Bay film rather than real life...

...I digress, no such plastic or fiberglass equipment exists at this park with the exception of the standard slide.

Anywho, a decent place to go. Kiddos are less judgy & enjoy just being out and about. Good sized infrequently used court to play a pick-up game in, billion dollar views, raspberry bushes in the vicinity, lots of sun, caveat emptor it usually gets a bit windy in the...

The large grassy knoll is one of the undervalued pieces of public land in SF. With sweeping vistas of the Bay and often Red Tail Hawks flying overhead, it is a great place to take in the wonders of SF's natural beauty. Luckily the location and sometimes windy and/or cold conditions keep the hoards away so it's also relatively peaceful. There is a large childrens' play area with a basket ball court, swing sets and slides, etc. The dog park at the top is not well maintained and really should be avoided if possible. If it were not for the dog park it would...

Walter Hass Playground park is a photographers dream since you can view the backdrop of the entire downtown, the Bay Bridge, and the rolling hills of Diamond Heights. The Walter Hass Playground can be reached by the SFMTA 52 or 35 bus lines. The playground also has a small dog park. An important bit of information is the Walter Hass playground park is located a block from Safeway and Harbor Villa Restaurant in case you wanted to create...

Sweet little park with a great view of downtown San Francisco. Up above is a dog park with Astroturf grass. Has a ramp as well as stairs to get to the main park below. Parking is easy. There is a basketball court and a children's playground with a soft surface. There is a simple circular walkway around the periphery of the park grass. Can be windy - dress in layers.

Sitting on a hilltop between Glen Park and Noe Valley, this small playground and green space offers great views of the city, although it definitely takes a bit of a climb to get here. It is a fun place to go through if you are doing some cool trail / hill hiking or running in this part of the city. A nice addition to your Glen Canyon routes!

Turf-covered dog park with double gates at both ends. Sometimes crowded but that's okay with our pup! We come several times a week. There's a water fountain in the dog park with a ground level bowl and regular height bowls.
