La Copa Loca Gelato Noe Valley — Restaurant in San Francisco

My wife and I had a great lunch at Eric's Chinese restaurant. A restaurant we both been going to for over 25 yrs. As we were leaving, she notice a new Gelato polar next door. So we decided to give it a try. Boy am I happy we did. We were welcomed in by a woman name Sandra. This woman was polite with excellent customer service. We inquired about a few flavors after viewing the very colorful and appetizing show case. Where Sandra, gave us samples on 4 to 5 different flavors we wanted to try. I had the strawberry basil with coconut and my wife had Belgian chocolate with chocolate chip. OMG ! This was the best treat I had in yrs. It was smooth, creamy and textually perfect. My wife and I could taste every ingredient as we salivated off the taste. I have eaten alot of Gelato, around the world. But this was 2nd to none to the shops in Naples Italy. I said to the woman serving us. That this "Sh@t" "is damn good". She said. Thank you and that her husband and her are the owners. She went on to say her name is Sandra and they opened up in May of 2024. I said to Sandra. I have a feeling you, will be around as long as your next door neighbor Eric's and thats over 25 yrs. A great addition to the neighborhood which needed a dessert place. Newly renovated space with tons of seating, the staff were helpful and the stracciatella on waffle cone was yummy. Well we were a bit disappointed at the ice cream served here, if you're looking for gelato be careful to make sure that's what you're getting. The line is crazy and disorganized, one member of our group, third in line was served only after the first two were done and after people behind us. The cone was a bit stale.
