Let me begin by saying, DO NOT order the Jian Bing (Chinese Burrito) for takeout when they are busy. I got there on a Saturday around 3:00 PM and made the mistake of not sitting down (as I thought there was a line for sit down, but actually they had 2 tables free).
I ordered the mini potstickers and the jian bing (burrito) since those seems to be the recommended choices. The mini potstickers came out after about a 10 minute wait, at which point I was told by the server that there's still a burrito that they're making. I was expecting maybe another 5-10 min wait for the one item. Waited another 20+ minutes while chatting with the lady that was 2 orders in front of me (My number was 91, she was 89) who was also missing her burrito order before we decided to ask how long the wait will be. When she went in to check, she was told her order was going to be another 15-20 minutes at least.
It turns out they only have 1 station and 1 person making the jian bings (burritos), which seems to make 1-2 at a time. A bunch of them were made during this waiting period but all went to dine in orders, even the tables that sat down well after I ordered take out. I get prioritizing dine ins, but please at least disclose how long the wait will be for the order at the time of the takeout order, OR when the first part of my food was brought out if I'm going to be waiting for more than half an hour for the second part of the food. There was a serious lack of communications for take out orders and even for the dine in line up as people were confused and some were lining up even when they just wanted to go for take out.
The mini potstickers were okay, a bit soggy after 20 minutes of just sitting in the bag (I wanted to taste the jian bing so I made the mistake of not eating the potstickers as I did not want to ruin my appetite). They weren't so much like sheng jian bao, more like fried xiao long bao. I also don't think they were super juicy, so they were just average. Definitely not worth the 45 minutes I spent outside in the cold for the...

Read moreMy wife was looking forward to trying this new spot out because she knows how picky I am with Shen Jian Bao since I was born and raised in Shanghai.
We placed our order online because we didn't want to wait 40 minutes for a table. Upon arrival we spoke to the cashier about our order. His response was not ready. I said ok can you please let us know the eta? Responded with attitude 20 mins. While standing there another busses or server ran into me and did not say anything. Hence why I don't think this staff was trained at all.
We finally picked up our food and my wife asked for vinegar for the mini potstickers. The lady slammed the vinegar on the counter and I had to leave. Why will you serve Shen Jian Bao without vinegar??? And zero professionalism to guests. We will not be back.
Food prices were ok $15 per order, service staff was untrained and if this keeps happening I promise you will lose returning guests. Parking was lots of street meters.
Overall: Food was decent, shen Jian bao had a little soup but this is definitely NOT Shanghai food, the staff needs training.
We ordered 2x of the mini shen Jian bao and 1 order of the...
