Ocean Taqueria — Restaurant in San Francisco

Edit: came back again in 2022 to give this place another shot. Ordered quesabira tacos (6). $21 but still not worth it. Undercooked tortillas, lacking in filling, consume is watery and in dire need of salt.

Upsetting, was hoping would be different from my last visit, but not the case. Would not recommend and won't go here again

Ordered the 2 meat nachos. For $15 it is not worth the money. Not much flavour, pollo rojo is not spicy, no salsa bar, and no cheese on my nachos. While the food does smell good, the flavour falls flat, had to add a lot of salt just for more flavor. Also there was rice with the nachos which just feels like a lot of filler for an already overpriced meal. Would rather go to Guadalajara Taqueria which is across the street, have better ingredients and more value for your money. Wouldn't mind coming back to try a breakfast burrito or a quesadilla, but with so many other options in walking distance, cant see...

Ocean Taqueria has the best Carne Asada in the city. It marinates all day and they grill it up fresh when you order. It makes a huge difference and the juice that comes off that soaks into the rice and beans which can make this burrito even better if you have leftovers to finish the next day.

For those not in the know, Ocean Taqueria is a city stalwart just in a new location. They used to be in Ingleside and had a location on Divisadero(now The City Taqueria, which is I think a sister location as the meat stayed the same after the name switch). I saw this place and I thought that it was going to be a moment of like “oh why did I spend my money here” but I really got surprise because it was not only a nice treatment of the people who work there but also the food was really good and I only bought a chicken quesadilla but last time that I had a chicken quesadilla in the Mexican restaurant was very bad so I believe if a simple item in the menu as a chicken quesadilla can be good most of the food is going to be good so that’s why I’m recommending this place with five stars because it is a good place to eat and also it feels like homemade food so GO try it and spend...
