Substantial pizza, fair pricing, and cozy seating make this North Beach Pizza location worthy of four stars. Near closing time, I went here for some food. I'd never been to any North Beach Pizza location, so I spent some time flipping through the extensive menu before asking the cashier what he recommended. He said he liked the margherita pizza, so that's what I got. I got the personal size, because I was alone and that seemed like a reasonable option because they didn't seem to have single slices at the time. However, I didn't see that it said 10 inches, so I assumed it would be the size of a small plate. I also wanted a drink, so I bought a bottle of Martinelli's apple juice. My total was about $17 after taxes, excluding tip. While my pizza was being made, I went to the restroom, which was clean enough and kind of dimly lit. The dining area was even dimmer, with overhead lamps that focused on the tables. There wasn't a lot of seating, but there was enough. This place probably gets crowded during the day. When my pizza was brought to me, I was shocked at how big it was. I struggled to eat half of it, because I wasn't particularly hungry. The crust was definitely thicker than other margherita pizzas I've had. It was crisped, but also nice and soft, kind of like a fresh pretzel. I feel like their dough would make great breadsticks. The cheese was nice and stretchy, but the basil wasn't exactly neatly chopped and could've been spread out a little more. Also, the tomato slices were kind of thick. After finishing half, I got a box and took the rest for later. I feel like I got plenty of food for the price. The service was excellent considering they were about to close. I didn't really like the pizza, but it was still decent and I think I would've liked it more if I were hungrier. Overall, I feel like the experience deserved four stars.

Pretty good pizza here. $35.75 for a large 3 topping. I usually get my pizzas at Bravo but they are closed during lunchtime. Bravo's 3 topping pizzas are only $28.50. After some research, I realized North Beach Pizza has $27 (26+1 "support local fee") offer for a 3 topping large pizza on their website which I don't believe apply when you order through the phone because it didn't in my instance. So, heads up on their confusing ordering system. My lunch was a large pepperoni, pesto and sausage pizza. The pesto blended well with the tomato based sauce and soft dough. The pizza was was really oily which I liked. Be careful if you put the box on top of your nice tablecloth. In terms of toppings allocation and amount, they are ranked below Bravo and Toto's in San Bruno. Regardless, this is one of the better pizza makers in this area. Good job.

Came for pizza by the slice. I was told they have cheese and pepperoni ready to go but can add toppings to them. Opted for cheese. Was told I could wait 10 minutes for a fresh slice but opted to take one from the rack. It was fairly average overall, with the outer crust being rather hard. You have to go into the restaurant a bit to order. I saw chairs on tables inside so dine-in seemed to not be an option, but there were a couple of small tables with chairs outside in front.

I’m giving 1 star only because there’s no option to give 0 stars.

This is the fourth time I’ve tried to place an order with this place, and honestly, I’m done. I’ve given them multiple chances, but I won’t be trying again. Each experience has been disappointing. Let me explain: • First attempt: I placed a large order to be delivered to my workplace, which is not far from the store. I was told it would arrive within an hour. I waited two hours, then called to check. I was told the driver was “at my door” — which was not true. Worst of all, no one contacted me or gave any explanation. My coworkers and I were left without food, and we were very disappointed. • Second attempt: I called again on another Sunday. Someone answered and hung up on me before I could even speak. • Third attempt: I called, and the person who answered didn’t seem to understand me. They passed the phone to someone else who also couldn’t understand me and asked if I spoke Spanish. I said no and asked to speak to a manager — and they hung up on me again. This was extremely frustrating. • Fourth attempt: I was simply told they couldn’t take my order because they had no drivers available.

All of these situations happened on Sundays, which makes me wonder: Is there a problem with working on Sundays? Do they not want to work? Are they just trying to go home early?

Honestly, this is a huge lack of respect for the customer. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The staff is unprepared, there’s a complete lack of customer care, and no commitment to providing a...

I placed an online order for a pizza and salad. I arrived at the time the order was supposed to be ready and I was told it would be ready in 5 - 7 minutes. I sat and waited for 10 minutes, still with no pizza, when I saw the only staff who was making pizza come out of the kitchen, get money from the register, and run out the door. About 5 minutes later he ran back into the restaurant with a package of lunch meat/ham, threw the change down on the counter, and went back to the kitchen to make my pizza. He did NOT wash his hands. He then proceeded to throw full pieces of packaged processed ham on the pizza. I was so disgusted I went to the register and asked for my money back. I was told since I placed my order online, I could not get a refund in the store. I pulled up the information and it said to contact the store for a refund. After arguing with the cashier for a few minutes, I received a cash refund for the pizza only. I would NOT recommend this place, as they clearly don’t follow any basic hand hygiene protocol and used processed lunch meat from a nearby store on their pizzas. I was...
