Review: A Grim Experience with Unethical Towing Practices
My recent experience with this establishment has left me disheartened and enraged. It appears that this business has become embroiled in a deplorable scam involving its parking lot and towing practices, causing considerable distress and inconvenience for its customers.
The crux of the issue lies in the establishment's blatant disregard for both city and state towing regulations. Vehicles are routinely towed from the parking lot, often without proper cause or adherence to legal protocols. Not only do they fail to meet the necessary legal requirements for posting signs about towing policies, but they also seem to exploit this loophole for personal gain. This omission alone should be enough to raise red flags, as it signifies a clear violation of the laws designed to protect consumers from such unethical practices.
Upon arrival at the restaurant, one might expect to find a welcoming environment, but instead, they are greeted with the unnerving sight of tow truck drivers patrolling the lot. These drivers do not just exhibit questionable behavior—they embody it. They demand payment upfront even if they have not yet hooked up the vehicle, a clear tactic designed to coerce and intimidate. Their aggressive demeanor is often accompanied by a profane outburst, making the experience even more distressing for those caught in this trap.
Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue through proper channels, the restaurant owner’s responses have been consistently evasive. Claiming ignorance of the towing practices while simultaneously profiting from the transactions raises serious ethical concerns. It is evident that the owner is either complicit in these actions or willfully blind to the misconduct occurring on their premises. Either way, the lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable.
The restaurant’s management appears to be leveraging their parking lot as a revenue-generating scheme rather than providing a service that adheres to legal and ethical standards. Their apparent partnership with the towing company, combined with the questionable behavior of the tow truck drivers, paints a grim picture of a business more concerned with lining their pockets than maintaining customer trust and satisfaction.
For anyone considering visiting this establishment, I strongly advise caution. The risk of having your vehicle towed under dubious circumstances and dealing with unprofessional tow truck drivers outweighs any potential enjoyment you might derive from dining there. The ethical and legal violations associated with this business's towing practices not only undermine its credibility but also reflect poorly on its commitment to customer care.
In summary, this establishment's involvement in this towing scam is both troubling and unacceptable. It’s a clear indication of their disregard for the laws designed to protect consumers and an illustration of how far they are willing to go to exploit their customers for financial gain. I hope this review serves as a warning to others and prompts the necessary actions to hold the establishment accountable for their...
Read moreThis is an edit to my previous post. Unfortunately, after a couple of staff changes, the customer service has gone from ok to horrid, hit or miss. Family & I were 1st in line before the dinner rush. Ordered 2 burritos & 2 suizas, easy enough for a taqueria, right? We amazingly spent $50 plus a $5 tip! The line behind us was out there door. We sat & enjoyed family time but in 15 minutes EVERYONE else was GONE! Asked 3x every 5minutes (desperately trying to get the MANY cashiers attention) 1."excuse us, where's our food?" 2. "Hi, is our food ready yet?" Excuse me, looking for 2 burritos, still"? Each time we were given dirty looks & told "ya, it's coming". After 30 minutes I asked if it's really coming or if it's even been started yet. This was the response, "it's right there, I told you it's coming 3x. Do you even come here very often?" I frikn 🤜🏻👏🏼💥💥💥 exploded, lost my composure because the "lady"(term used very, very loosely) that took our order was counting her tips in front of us & didn't even bat an eye at the fact that I have now been waiting there for 35 minutes for our "to go order". To go because we had tp return to work. And the taqueria filled up w people & emptied out TWICE & we still had NO FREAKN FOOD! I was told by 1 "lady" we'll call the cops!(because I started yelling when they I talking over me) For what? HOLDING OUR FOOD HOSTAGE FOR 40 MINUTES?! I mean, lmfao, seriously?! Wow.
Work on efficiency & cleanliness. I saw a mouse running from the kitchen to the back door...I right here eating here ever again. Give custs their food within 10-15 minutes pls.
Customer service, get some... figure it out.
Don't dog or evil eye the customer for your eff ups! Maybe try some humble pie. An apology for the set back would be nice & very much appreciated.
Don't argue w said customer.
(I'm going to get some slack for this but) PLEASE try to hire smarter people that can communicate w the American Language. I was not born anywhere else than SF & then moved to a foreign country. No!
I am SF born & raised. I've traveled to many states in the US, Hawaii & Mexico. I might get by speaking a lil Mexican 😆😉. But I'd probably die of dehydration & starvation before knowing how to ask for h2o in Chinese. I love everything about San Francisco but dam, some foreigners are very difficult nowadays! Honestly, if I moved to India or France, I'd be expected to speak Indian... or French not American.
I originally gave 5 stars but after a few recent visits, they get a 0 if I could. I also had to delete the positive words i used to describe their food to give more space to this rant.
Now back to your taqueria search... there's a ton of them around this neighborhood (like Taqueria El Farolito, El Gran Taco Loco) & they are all good. Glen Park has a nice clean taqueria, Los Coronetas w very courteous employees.
Thanks for lending your ear..Gracias. Tse tse... arigato. Salamat. Gratzi. Merci. Good...
Read moreAll you Nieve peeps little do you know that this joint is not what you expected. Some of you are stating that you have been eating here for years on end. Well maybe this would shed a little pin hole light through that dark black abyss you've been living in. Taqueria Guadalajara should be praised for their food safety record and the extra protein increase that may or may not be introduced to your tacos and burritos in this establishment. Now who says we can't intake and enjoy these questionable and possibly protein filled, sloppy, greasy, lard covered mystery meat marvels that is served at this wonderful establishment. Oh, wait, That would be the City of San Francisco Health Department. Now maybe some of you don't mind and enjoy a little extra protein and that light crunchy fiesta swirling around in your oral cavity. As for me I prefer a non- cockroach burrito, taco, quesadilla and or callo. So the next time when you visit this absolutely grotesque locale, make sure to request the extra La Cucaracha to your dish. I'm sure that may not be necessary as they may end up on your dish whether you like it or not. I give Taqueria Guadalajara a one-star for the Magnificent dishes they prepare for us patrons. If there was a lower score than that I'm sure i would give it to them but this is as low as I can go. So Congratulations Taqueria Guadalajara for your disgusting, unkempt, unsanitary protein addition. Let me say you should add it to your menu. All well that eats well....
