Red's House — Restaurant in San Francisco

We made an order online via doordash. Now, I'm all for supporting small businesses, especially if they're owned by POC. But these guys took over an hour getting our order ready (which I'm willing to take, since it's a small business), and were rude to our door-dasher for waiting in there and checking in, to the point where they made her cry. I was so upset hearing about it! The food was ok, nothing mind blowing, which, considering their attitude was just not worth it.

Edit to comment on the reply I received below: I never said the food wasn't fresh. It was clear that it was freshly made, and as I said it was satisfactory. My problem was with the way they treated our dasher that was just doing her job. Sure, she was on the phone in her apps, making money (in this pendamic - I don't think she's at fault). But she was also in contact with US the whole time. She was there for a LONG time and kept us updated, and wasn't treated "politely". I stand behind my review. Furthermore, I saw (and still see) no reason to call the restaurant later to let them know the way they treated her is wrong, there's nothing that would have done for any of the people involved and I wasn't the one to be compensated...

It was our first time trying Reds so we ordered enough for 4 for the 2 of us and the food was amazing. We ordered takeout and picked it up at the loading dock, pretty cool experience. Highlights of the meal were the Jerk Chicken, Jerk Chicken Wings, Coleslaw, and the Sweet Potato Medley. The Sweet Potato Medley blew us away because we never had a potato salad like that before. We'll definitely be going back just for that! The Jerk Chicken (and Wings) were so flavorful and tender. It even stayed delicious for leftovers, so make sure you order more than enough to eat so that you can Treat...

Very tasty food. I ordered takeout online and was given a free rum punch (thanks!). We got curried goat, jerk chicken, and plantains with the sweet potato salad and coleslaw sides. Everything was delicious and spicy. In particular, the jerk chicken was SO tender and we loved the sauce. I kind of wish there was an extra side of jerk chicken sauce. Would definitely order some of their other dishes...
