Updated 3/30/2025: The chef(s) and waitress are toishan speakers. It has been too long since I've ate here. We pass by Tasty all the time. Tonight I had their black pepper steak $16 and Chinese flat roti with curry sauce on the side $10. Both are so-so. The black pepper sauce is great, the spaghetti sauce, not so. The roti was fine, oily and flavorful. The curry had a weird after taste. Luckily, it is served on the side. No water refills and the waitress is in her own world unless you ask for her.

Updated review 4/30/2021. I wanted to try their Fri/Sat prime rib special but it was not available. Other items like their crab dishes were also not available. Tasty's indoor dining room was a chilly 52°F because they left the front door open for COVID. Tonight I had their HK style black pepper steak $12. The steak had a good pepper taste with a heavy sauce on the side. The pasta was meh with a sweet red meat sauce. I would have preferred a traditional tomato sauce. It was a decent dish. Service was excellent as there were only three other customers dining.

Original review: Indoor dining 4/19/2021. Tonight I had their baked seafood fried rice with Portuguese sauce. It was decent and contained pieces of seafood like little calms, shrimps, small octopus pieces. The vegetables were fresh with a snap to them. True to being a Hong Kong style cafe, the food came out fast within five minutes. Their Portuguese sauce lacked favor causing the fried rice below to be plain. I ordered the 海南鸡饭 which translates to Hainan Chicken Over Rice. As you can see in the attached photo, it is a very plain looking dish. The chicken is boiled and served cold next to a serving of seasoned rice. There is also a ginger flavored dipping sauce included which complements the chicken really nicely. There are just too many limitations with this place with very little to gain given the food was just alright. First of all they only accept cash and their price isn’t terribly cheap where you can get by with a few notes. Secondly their opening time just just isn’t dinner-friendly. They close at 7pm with last order at 6.40pm ish. While this makes sense for the kitchen to wrap up ahead, closing shop at a time when the majority of diners eat is not...
