The Peaks — Restaurant in San Francisco

The epitomable (as Tom Waits would say) neighborhood bar in Now Valley which, as I write this, is hours away from the next California statewide stay at home order due to COVID-19. This is the late evening gathering spot for many Noe Valleyans to catch a Giants or 49ers game with friends, or to grab a pint of Anchor Steam to reflect on the day or week. Super friendly staff, always a warm atmosphere (figuratively and literally) whether you're hunched over the pool table (pre-COVID), watching a game on an outdoor screen in their de riguer outdoor parklet, or tapping around on your phone on the back patio. Bartender poured a perfect Guiness, so this place is alright in my books. There's a great little nook in the back too. Live and let smoke, watch a football game, and sit back.
