I recently took my furry friend to Upper Douglas Dog Park, and it's safe to say that we both had an absolute blast! This dog park is not only expansive but also incredibly well-maintained. Here are some of the highlights:
🌳 Space to Roam: The park is pretty big, providing ample room for our canine companions to run, play, and socialize. My pup loved having so much space to explore and burn off some energy. It's perfect for dogs of all sizes and breeds.
🚰 Amenities: Upper Douglas Dog Park is well-equipped with water stations, poop bag dispensers, and trash cans. These conveniences make it easy for pet owners to ensure their dogs stay hydrated and the park stays clean.
🌲 Natural Beauty: The park's picturesque setting is one of its most significant assets. Surrounded by lush trees and greenery, it feels like a serene escape from the city. Plus, the shaded areas provide relief from the sun on warmer days.
👫 Friendly Community: The dog owners I encountered at the park were kind, responsible, and attentive to their pets. It was refreshing to see such a welcoming community, which made our experience even better.
🅿️ Parking: There's ample parking available near the park entrance, making it convenient for visitors to come and go with ease.
Overall, Upper Douglas Dog Park is a fantastic place for both dogs and their humans. It's the perfect spot to let your pup socialize, exercise, and enjoy the great outdoors. We'll definitely be...
Read moreThis is an amazing dog park! It's the biggest fenced in dog park that I've been to in San Francisco, it's primarily grass but has some chip and some dusty rock area out the back that you can claim up and around with your pup if you want. This is an off leash dog park so as always you must keep an eye on your dog, clean up after it and if you have an aggressive dog, this probably isn't the park for you.
There is a water fountain on the far side with a bowl for the dogs, I wouldn't recommend drinking from it your was it seems pretty dusty.
My only caution is that since it is such a large dog park there can be quite a large number of dogs present off leash at once. Also since it is a grassy area with some hills there is some areas with foxtails that you'll want to steer clear of. I know some people have been removing them when they go but you know weeds will be weeds.
The view is also amazing...
Read moreI have been checking out different dog parks in the bay are and so far this one defines the gold standard. Unlike some others I've seen, they don't have separate areas for small and large dogs. But the place is pretty huge. If your dog doesn't socialize much but likes to hike around off leash, this park has that. It is a large flat grass field bordered by a steep retaining wall with a little forest and trails. If your dog likes to play, there are tons of dogs here, of all types. The people who come here seem to have their act together. I didn't see any knuckleheads with crazy dogs here. There is a section with woodchip mulch as well. The only surface missing here is sand. A little sand area would be nice, although I imagine it would get filled with poop.
tldr this is the best dog park in the bay area...
