Really loved and enjoyed the food we ate for dinner. Probably the best in the city honestly. The service was great up until our waiter asked if we enjoyed our food and if we did if we were able to leave a review. We said absolutely and told him how much we enjoyed our food and time at the restaurant. He asked if we would do it now or later and when we replied later- because we were still enjoying our conversation we were having before he came up to us- he then proceeded to stand there for another 2-3 minutes staring at us and repeatedly asking us to do it right then and there. We were pretty insistent that we were going to leave one later and that we were just trying to finish up our dinner. It was pretty uncomfortable and odd that he wouldn’t leave the table until we had to stand firm and say no that we were not going to do it right then and there. He left once he was given a card to pay for our check. Besides this weird interaction the food was great and the service was quick. I don’t know if the waiter had been told to be persistent when asking for a review by an upper management person or what but it was definitely an uncomfortable few minutes for sure. We’d like to go back because of how much we enjoyed the food, but hesitant due to this...
Read moreMy first experience with Indian food was in college, it was a unforgettable experience in a bad way. It was made by students for students and sitting in trays for the whole day. The taste of this restaurant has been a long way since then. Everything was made with care. I ordered the spinach lamb with a simple roti, and I got a lot more than that. Start off, they gave me free papadum appetizer with chutneys. The tamarind and mint chutneys were so fresh that I used them to add dimensions to the main dish as well. The lamb was nicely done but the spinach was a tad salty for me (we are a low-sodium family). Well, there are no salty indian dishes that a cup of yogurt can’t fix. They gave me an extra yogurt bowl which tastes so homey that I am convinced that they made it in store.
The inside of the restaurant is super clean and tastefully decorated. I felt like eating with Pablo Picasso at times. The frequents tend to be older folks who enjoyed a leisure, affordable, and quality lunch. The only minus for me is the excruciatingly slow music, but...
Read moreMy 82 year old mother and I (53) enjoyed our first experience at Noe Indian Cuisine. Papdum was so tasty and crisp with a hint of fenugreek, dipping sauces quite flavorful. While we asked for our dishes to be on the mild side, we were prepared for a kick. We wanted a light meal as we didn't have more than an hour. We were quickly served our Mango Lassis, Assorted Tandoori, Momo Chilli Vegetable, and Spinach Naan. While the Momo was spicier than my mother expected, it was delicious. Our server, David, recommended the Kheer for dessert, a pleasant surprise as I'm sure it helped my mother cool the heat from the spices. I have to say my favorite part of our experience was the service. David was knowledgeable about dishes, asked if we wanted rice, and after we paid the check, he walked my mother outside and stood with her as I retrieved my car. I have eaten at many Indian restaurants, notably many in London, UK, and I have never had such kind and...
