If you want the quick review: Go here, the food is amazing, the coffee and tea options are even better. You are in for an environmentally conscious, healthy, great people spot.
For those of you wanting to read what I have to say: If you have ever dreamed of heaven than you have at least felt portions of what it is like to find this place. Yo También Cantina is a water when water is all you have been craving for hours.
The food is given to you Instagram ready. That is ironic, because the people here do not seem as if they have Instagram accounts... It is almost as if they have evolved past the great artistic food posting of the mid-2010's into a meta world where people actually demand to smell, touch, taste, and eat the food in order to be satiated.
There's a bottle in the place that is labeled, 'spicy stuff' you're going to want that. You're going to want to buy a jar of it before you leave. Also, you're going to be the most popular person at your in-law's house when you show up with that jar as a gift the next time that you see them.
Back to the food, the place feels like Buenos Aires on a day in the Spring. The menu offers the type of bangers you would only expect from the new D.J. Khaled album.
Breakfast options a plenty, the Jammy Sammy is a enough to make you forget that it is only Wednesday, their breakfast sandwiches, especially the veggie sammie is what your body is asking actually asking for when you ate those three breakfast cookies. Speaking of 'breakfast cookies' go ahead and get yourself one, two, or three for work or your day. Good lord they are good.
The most tragic part of this review is that I can't express how incredible their salad bowls are, but let me try... Their salads are cooked crack to your taste buds and as I mentioned earlier they are very pretty to look at.
Their bowls are probably the best things to order here if you are confused, but the toast is the uhm... well, toast. La Nube is polenta covered in ricotta, herbs, some olive oil and lemon. I mean, if you didn't just get a little Pavlovian just now then I want you to stop reading now. The matcha latte is my favorite, but they have a cayenne-lemon tea with honey which can cure pretty much anything the...
Read moreThis place is oddly specific and I like it. If you can pull off Blundstone boots and shorts, then this is the place for you. They serve tamales, black coffee, wine, beer and beans here. Everything is delicious, though the menu changes every day and is different depending on the time of day, so I've actually never been able to get the same thing twice. I'd recommend checking their social media to figure out what they are serving that day. There is no sign outside so just go off the location. Currently there’s a cute parklet outside which seems to have really brought more traction to this place. The workers are super friendly too. Be prepared: they are open only 30 hours a week. On the weekend, you can't get dinner, instead it's an odd brunch time where you will have beans and tamals for breakfast. They are so delicious that it would be great to have them open later for dinner on more days!

Read moreWow yes a 5-star place. Per everyone’s raving reviews, I got the best of both worlds bowl. It was obviously quality ingredients, beautiful, well-balanced, and crafted with a lot of care. That gets 5 stars from me. I recommend mixing everything in the bowl, letting the cabbage shreds soak up the juices from beans/sauce and have the jammy egg topped with oil be distributed throughout. I saved an egg for the end and it was pretty salty on its own. The service and atmosphere was SO GOOD too- welcoming and warm- I’d come back just for that. I appreciated the reusable utensils and containers too. Indoor and outdoor seating available but more outside than in. I enjoyed sitting down outside in the sun with my meal and a book. This place just celebrated 7 years operating and here’s to many...
