Golden Gate Park Community Garden — Attraction in San Francisco

I enjoy the different garden boxes being worked on. The diversity of flowers and growing herbs, and plants.

Sometimes people don’t realize that I am deaf and they start talking to me. Most of time they are patient and will communicate with me.

Once in a while I did have someone who was upset either because I didn’t hear and didn’t respond while I was untangling a hose or they thought I was pulling to hard so they gave a lecture with scolding look on their face. I remained calm and nodded ok.

I comment here because I want to increase awareness that there are Deaf people who enjoy and use the gardens as part of the community. I see people care about the garden.
