If you’re coming to The Loving Hut for the for the first time, please don’t stray away! This location is OKAY but other locations are better!! The Loving Hut is an international vegan franchise and not all of them are the same. This specific Sunset location ehh, but I only say that because I’ve had better food. Their sister location downtown in the Westfield it’s not a dine in restaurant , but their food tastes amazing. And the owner of that downtown location also owns Golden Era which is SOOO MUCH BETTER if you’re looking for a dine in restaurant. The quality of the food here and the interior design is just “descent”. If you’re vegan in the area and you want good vegan food, there’s so many more options if you’re willing to go a few miles. My issue with this place are the prices and proportions. (And taste!!!) I ordered a thai iced tea with boba and sesame orange chick’n w/ rice and it came out to $21. The drink was very small compared to other places(big as my hand) and the boba wasn’t cooked that well (too soft) and their wasn’t enough soy creamer. The sesame orange chick’n had too much sauce that the sesame chick’n was drowning in it, and everything came out very soggy. I don’t recommend this place unless you’re vegan + starving and can’t go anywhere far. I also don’t recommend this place if you’re NOT vegan because you deserve a better vegan experience. This location is not worth your $$.

I visited Loving Hut Vegan Restaurant near Golden Gate Park for lunch and loved it. The fully vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free labeled menu was a vegetarian’s dream, letting me pick anything without worry. The menu’s mostly Chinese-inspired but also offers a cool Americana section for variety. I ordered four dishes, and every one was delicious—even my meat-eating friends were impressed! The staff was helpful, though a bit quiet. The Buddhist-inspired decor was simple and Spartan, which didn’t wow me, and parking was a hassle—two blocks away. Still, their motto, “Healthy and Delicious,” rings true, and it’s my favorite spot in San Francisco. I’d give Loving Hut four out of five stars, docking one for the plain decor and tricky parking.

Loving Hut is a popular vegan pan-Asian chain with locations around the west coast. This spot is a full service restaurant with an excellent menu for vegans and those wanting to try some tasty food. I ordered their Taro Rolls, Chow Fun, and Mushroom Veg medley along with a small side of brown rice. They were able to prepare everything quickly and the food lasted well in its takeout containers. I was a fan of the chow fun and the taro rolls, which were crispy and close to perfection. Something I still struggle with Loving Hut though are the prices. They still feel quite steep for what you get, but I think SF pricing just continues to break my little heart. Either way, I'm glad Loving Hut is around and available for us to enjoy.

Possibly the worst service I have ever received, I’m not hard even hard to please when it comes to service. They were Slammed, super busy and under staffed, I get it. I ordered a Thai tea which was brought to me in a chipped glass, no biggie, just give me a new one. Apparently the server felt offended because I was complaining and assured me it was ok, it was broken before she served the Tea. Well, it’s actually not Ok, and not acceptable. After a quick back and forth she caved and got Me a new glass, to which she poured the old into the new. Again not a safe practice. I don’t mean to be snotty, there probably wasn’t glass in it, but for my peace of mind can I get a new, unbroken cup, with a new Thai tea? Nope, she proceeded to yell in the kitchen and say “order cancel”. Then she deliberately left our plates on the counter to mess with us instead of bringing them over. We saw her look at the ticket and put the plates back down. The plates we did get were not even that great. We ended up leaving money to cover what we ate and left the restaurant pissed and hungry. I’ll stick to golden era or indochine...

I really like the food at Loving Hut. I always order for home delivery but this time I decided to visit the location and I feel it was a mistake. The woman was very rude. She immediately started to wait on the white gentleman that came in after me. She even asked if they would like tea or water but did not bother to ask me anything but dropped a glass of water on my table with a menu after first giving them their tea and service. Then she comes to take my order and as I'm telling her what I would like she leaves to answer the phone, okay no problem but instead of returning back to me she goes to the white couple then to another table and finally back to me. Then she snatches the menu out of my hand and walks away. No matter how good the food is I will not support a restaurant that does not know how to treat their customers. Not only will you not receive a tip you just lost a...
