This place is crazy good. I feel like AYCE KBBQ is defined by the quality of the meat first and the service to back it up - absolutely delivers here!
Of note, we tried: (party of 2) Bulgogi Marinated Short Rib Spicy Pork Belly
The meat was beautifully marbled and cut really nicely. Deliciously tender and no signs of 'funky business'. The marinades were a nice balance of salty, savory and sweet. Even the lettuce was crisp as hell. The kimchi wasn't god-tier, but it was fresh and quite good. You can't get god-tier kimchi without wrestling it out of a halmeoni's hands anyways, so I consider that a win.
The service was popping off when we went. We'd char the grilltop to smithereens and they were back with a fresh grill top quickly. They had the hustle of professional teamsters.
You're not gonna be able to get this wombo combo of top tier dining experience without shelling out some clams, but I felt the cost was very well worth it. We paid about $41 per person or so. No tiered menus or restrictions. They were very upfront about the 90 min time limit and leftover fees, pretty standard for AYCE.
Listen, if you're this far down my crazy ramblings about this spot, just go check it...
Read moreWent for lunch on a Saturday and there was only one other table besides us when we went at noon. Over time more people came and there were about 5 or 6 tables when we left. One waitress (Lily) had to take care of all tables by herself but she still managed to change the grill plate pretty frequently and regularly check in to make sure everything was good for us. Huge shoutout to Lily for a great experience🥳 The marinated selections were all really tasty, our favorite was the marinated beef short ribs🤤The ready to eat options and side orders were all pretty good too, and the ice cream at the end was definitely a perfect ending🍨 They have ventilation systems on top of every grill, it doesn’t completely eliminate all the grease and smell, but it does make a significant difference👍🏻 Pro tip - if you don’t want to smell like bbq after your meal, you can get those single-use shower caps (We got some from Target, but I’m sure you can get them at other places too) and wear them while you’re there. We did that and I’m pretty sure everyone else in the restaurant looked at us for more than once😂but we managed to not smell like bbq after all...
Read moreI've gone to a few Korean BBQ spots and this is my favorite so far.
We came hear for a birthday dinner and had 7 people in our party. We had the largest table (I think) and could have squeezed in one more person. More than 8 to your party and you would probably need to have two separate seating sections.
They have a seamless ordering process where you put in your items through an app and they come out almost instantly. This is great for the all you can eat menu because you are able to order at the push of a button.
I really loved that they had already cooked food you could order such as Gyoza or fried chicken. These were at no additional charge and were nice to munch on as you grilled the rest of the meal.
My table's favorite items were the river prawns, pork belly and the radishes. The radishes were out of this world and such a nice bright bite in-between the heavy meats, you definitely need...
