Five out of five! Best place for Indian food, i can’t say this is their best dish, all of yheir dishes are excellent! The secret ingredient: Love! & the owner, its like you’ve known her all your life, when she greets you she immediately starts a conversation with you, about anything! Thats what makes you want to come back again! She makes you feel at home & part of her family! By the way it’s family own, her husband cooks all the food in the kitchen & i think her cousins are the waiters, she treats her employees just like she treats her customers with lots of love. I can go & on about this place, but why don’t you just stop by one day if you’re craving really good Indian food & give a try, you won’t be disappointed trust me! I’m glad there’s a really good Indian restaurant that you can depend in the Richmond District & don’t have to go all the way downtown in the Tenderloin District where its all dirty & have to deal with drug addicts & homeless to eat good Indian food. Oh & the prices here are super affordable! Plus they give plenty of food! You’ll be full & satisfied at the end!

Keeva Indian Kitchen in San Francisco truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The menu offered a diverse range of options, and I decided to try a variety. The lamb Vindaloo was a standout, perfectly spiced and tender. The classic goat curry had an authentic depth of flavor that I appreciated. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, while the prawn curry offered a delightful seafood twist. The chicken wings were a pleasant surprise with their unique Indian-inspired seasoning. To complement the main dishes, I indulged in the garlic naans, which were the ideal balance of fluffy and flavorful. The attention to detail in each dish showcased the chef's commitment to quality. The overall dining experience at Keeva Indian Kitchen was memorable, and I left thoroughly satisfied. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Indian cuisine or a newcomer, this restaurant is a must-visit. I highly recommend Keeva for its exceptional food, warm atmosphere, and attentive service.

Oh joy! A new restaurant on Clement that isn't a hot pot, Asian BBQ, bubble tea, or mediocre Thai place! Had my first dinner there. Food was solid, felt and tasted more homemade with heart than some of the usual American Indian places. I was happy to see that the menu has the usual Indian greatest hits along w some different items (egg curry!). It was also a good sign to me that the menu wasn't overly long: I feel like restaurants with broad menus tend not to execute individual dishes in a distinctive way. My personal preference is for spicy, so next time I'll be sure to ask for my dishes with more heat! Service was friendly and warm, and the team asked us what we thought about each course. Overall, a good meal! I'll be back. So happy to have them in the Inner Richmond!! I'm sorry to see the bad experience in a review below. I could see how a new restaurant like this would still be working out the kinks; however our experience was entirely positive and competent.

A Soulful Culinary Experience at Keeva – More Than Just a Restaurant

Keeva is not just a restaurant—it’s an emotion. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted not as a customer, but as family. And at the heart of this experience is the ever-smiling, ever-gracious Rita. She doesn’t just welcome you with warmth; she embraces you with the kind of love and care that instantly makes you feel at home. It’s rare to find someone who treats every guest like a cherished family member, and Rita does it effortlessly—with grace, humility, and an authenticity that touches the soul.

The magic doesn’t stop at the hospitality. The food… oh, the food! From the very first bite of the palak chaat, your taste buds are on a nostalgic journey. Each dish, whether it’s the richly spiced chicken gravy or the soul-satisfying veg kadai, is crafted with such care and flavor that it brings you back to your childhood. It’s like reliving the joy of coming home after a long day to your mother’s cooking—the anticipation, the comfort, the joy. The only difference? At Keeva, you don’t need to wait all day to be fed that kind of love.

Rita and her fabulous team have created something extraordinary—a space where food isn’t just served, it’s shared with love. Where hospitality isn’t a service, it’s a sincere expression of care. And through it all, Rita remains grounded, humble, and true to her roots.

She is, without a doubt, the Annapoorneshwari of our times—a goddess of food, nourishing not just our bodies but our hearts.

Hats off to this wonderful lady and the beautiful experience she and her team bring to the table every single day. Keeva isn’t just a place you visit—it’s a...

We really wanted to like Keeva, esp. considering all the rave Google & Yelp reviews. Unfortunately we felt let down and left with a broken promise.

Here's the dig. All the best Indian restaurants are in South Bay. You need a sizable Indian diaspora to demand high quality and adequately spiced Indian food and not a concept of Indian food or fusion Indian food.

The service is great - super friendly and chatty. Prices are 70% higher than South Bay, but you can't put a price on really good food -except this wasn't worth the premium.

We tried a bunch of entrees after seeking recommendations. First off the biryani was over cooked rice and lacked flavor. Although we were spoilt by Hyderabad Dum Biryani and other South Bay staples, this one fell flat. The next best place is India Beach restaurant near Half Moon Bay.

We tried the paneer (cottage cheese) dish and the paneer was rubbery. The dish was so under spiced that we wondered if this was closer to hospital food than Indian food - OK that's a bit of a stretch but you get the drift.

The challenge isn't that the food was terrible, it wasn't, we just had high expectations, esp, since we have been exposed to a lot of great Indian food in the US and on our trips to India.

I wouldn't go there again. The prices and food quality do not justify a second visit, however they may be having a bas day, so you may want to take a chance and convince us...
