If you're looking for a milk tea spot that stands above the rest, you absolutely need to visit Bengong’s Tea. What immediately impressed me was the space itself, the interior design is truly beautiful and clean. It’s not just a quick counter; the setting feels elevated, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy your drink. The service is also wonderful!
The real difference, however, is the quality of the tea. This isn’t just sugary milk and toppings; you can actually taste the premium tea base in every drink. This focus on the high-quality leaves is why, in my opinion, Bengong's is a better, more refined experience than brands like CHAGEE. They deliver rich, aromatic tea flavor first, with sweetness balanced perfectly.
I tried a fantastic lineup during my visit: Mango Mochi Frost (My Favorite): This drink is seriously brilliant. It’s creamy, tastes exactly like fresh mango, and the chewy mochi pieces blend in for an incredible texture. It’s a must-order. Burnt Caramel Cheese Milk Tea: A total indulgence. The golden oolong tea is topped with a rich cheese foam that's caramelized, it’s the perfect blend of sweet, salty, and smoky. Mango Pomelo Sago: If you enjoy fruit desserts, this is a perfect choice. It’s wonderfully tart and refreshing, packed with fresh mango and the distinct bitterness of pomelo. Lychee Tea Latte & Jasmine Tea Latte: Both of these lattes showcased the strength of their tea program. The Jasmine Tea Latte was beautifully floral and clean, and the Lychee offered authentic fruit flavor without being artificial or cloying. I preferred the jasmine lattee more than the lychee.
Truly delicious and I can’t wait to...
Read moreI finally checked out this Chinese-style milk tea shop! The black-and-gold palette with traditional patterns, plus a decorative tree inside, wishing plaques, and vintage wall art really make it feel like an imperial tea house. Even the cups have illustrations of classical beauties. Since they had a “buy 2 get 20% off” deal, my friend and I grabbed four drinks to try!
Jasmine Tea Latte The tea fragrance is quite distinct, light and refreshing, pairing smoothly with the milk. Definitely a safe and reliable choice.
Mango Mochi Frost A refreshing slush with little mochi bits inside that add a chewy texture. The mango flavor tastes pretty fresh.
Burnt Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea This one highlights the milk more than the sugar. The brown sugar isn’t too strong, and the sweetness level is just right. Topped with roasted pecan-like crumbles that add a savory touch. Together with the milk, it reminded me of Milk Bar’s cereal milk in New York— that roasted grainy note blending with creamy milk.
Passionfruit Super Fruit Cup It comes in a big cup with loads of fruit chunks. I ordered it at 25% sugar so it was super refreshing and cut through the heaviness of other drinks. Perfect when you don’t feel like something sweet.

Read moreGirl taking orders seem not to know much about the drinks, like what kind of milk they use in the drinks. When we asked, she just said “I don’t know” instead of “let me ask/check” (I’m lactose intolerant and most drink places I choose to go to use non-dairy creamer or provide milk alternatives) - thus customer service is subpar. I also asked her what the difference between the special and Dahong milk tea was and she didn’t know.
We ordered special milk teas. I liked mine at 50% sweet. The mango pomelo I did not like because the tartiness of the pomelo pearls did not compliment the mango slush. Then when the pearls or jellies get cold it gets hard. The orange jasmine tea did not have balance of flavor between the orange and tea, but I think that’s intentional for the tea flavor to be more present, so just know that when order it. The milk tea is good but just know or assume they use regular milk. The other two drinks we ordered - I would not drive out of the way for.
Person at the cashier had little personality so “atmosphere” doesn’t feel as friendly or as welcoming as it could be, but I guess I don’t care if I’m just there for the drinks. - please educate the person taking orders because “I don’t know” is not an acceptable answer when customers ask about...
