Aug 31, 2022 7:00p.m. Once again a bad complaint at this Del Taco. They should receive 0 stars. Can we say customer service was just horrible. I see you are busy and short staffed. Still, absolutely no reason why I was not acknowledged not once while I waited to place an order. Then when I finally get someone's attention she got a super attitude with me and told me I had to wait. Which, once again was not a problem. Problem was the non-acknowledgement then a bad attitude, from the management black shirt working the drive-thru window. I'm quite upset. I left, and one can, guarantee my business will be taken elsewhere.
So I went here on Aug. 31st. At 7:24 through the drive-thru. Worst food ever!! I never can understand how a chain can mess up their food. Fallow the recipe very simple. So I ordered deluxe chili. Cheese fries, 2 chicken softies, and 10 value tacos for 55cemts each(coupon from the app). And 2 Del Tacos. I asked for my fries to be unsalted and well done. So they retain their crispness within the chili. So.....all 10 tacos were stuffed in a small bag shells were broken on most of them. The Del Tacos and most of the value tacos were not fresh. Then they had. Nerve to give me beyond meat in them. One of those Del Tacos had no tomatoe while the other one had 3 stinkin' tomatoes nicely placed in the center of the cheese that was already starting to melt. Because they were old tacos. So my deluxe chili cheddar fries were a disgrace. The let's say 15 fries smothered in chili were undercooked. Still slightly raw! Sloppily put together with loads of sour cream. I had my son stop eating after I saw them! Going through the drive-thru you last line of defense is the window. Why in the heck did she not check that food before it as bagged? I go to deal tabor because food is supposed to be fresh. He has a very sensitive stomach and this food made him sick! All because people want to cut corners! The worst part about it. Is that I td an tried to voice my disappointment through the app and on the site but when I get to the written explanation It says I have to be 13+ to do so!! I'm double that and then some. So I come on here. I don't call because words change said and no verification for refunds or fixing things has th o be honored(Not written down and not recorded). Pus the whole world needs to know that this shift sucks. And the certain Del Taco has really dropped the ball lately. Where is the quality control? Take pride in what you do. Especially in the Food Service Industry. Now I will go a bit out of my way to get quality products and service. Shame Shame I don't know if anyone would mind waiting if they know it's producing excellence. People come back because it's good, the food and the service. Google, y'all need to have negative stars. Read moreOn top of dealing with employees who are arguing with the customers over them messing up an order and the employees being hostile and throwing things around slamming things down. I ordered 2 chicken soft tacos no lettuce ( due to allergy) and 2 1/2lb bean burritos no sauce and medium fries and small coke. Well when we got the order from drive thru we parked to eat and immediately there was lettuce on my tacos so my daughter ran inside and kindly explained how we asked for no lettuce and someone made the mistake and put lettuce. They began to argue with her saying we never said anything about no lettuce and my daughter said yes we did twice especially because my mom is allergic to lettuce. They slammed the tacos in the trash and were talking negatively about us ( the customer) and then proceeded to ask her do you want cheese too sarcastically and my daughter said yes just no lettuce please. Then they rudely gave her the food. They were completely rude, disrespectful, hostile and completely inappropriate. The food was made sloppy to where the burritos were not wrapped properly so when my daughter took a bite the beans ended up all over her and the cheese was on one part of the burritos instead of all over like it should be. The taco meat tasted dry and like it had been sitting for hours too. On top of it all my daughter ended up sick with food poisoning. I am completely disgusted and disappointed in Del Taco and the lack of standards and pride. I used to work for Del Taco and this type of behavior was never acceptable. It seems to me the customer is no longer valued because this is not the only location where the old Del Taco standards do not seem to exist anymore. I would love to talk to the district manager regarding my issues with this particular location and how to improve the customer service and quality of food. Until then they have lost my business and I'm sure many other people's business too. I'm sure people will not come to a place being treated this way. I'm sure we are not the only ones too. Read moreGetting up there in years and being of modest means and simple needs, this reviewer can neither justify, nor afford, the ongoing expense, both to the pocketbook and the environment, of owning and maintaining a gas powered motor vehicle, it just doesn't add up. Fortunately for your humble reviewer, pretty much everyplace he needs to go (like Del Taco) is within biking distance, so a bike fits the bill and also helps keep him fit. The main drawback to biking everywhere being naturally, the perspiration factor. So, COVID-19 economic stimulus payments in hand, this reviewer decided to invest in a premium eBike and now he's able to go farther, quicker, with less effort and arrive in fine form without breaking a sweat. However, one drawback remains; that being an accessibility issue. Which brings us to the point of this review: it has been this reviewers experience that, except for a brief moment at the onset of COVID-19 when the standard was temporarily relaxed, most fast food establishments will refuse to serve customers astride a bike or an eBike who wish to use the drive-thru when lobby service is no longer available for the day. The reason for this policy is open to speculation. But this Del Taco location has proven to be the exception and continues to value the patronage of those members of the bike and eBike riding community obliged to use the drive-thru to alleviate their late evening / early morning hunger pangs. This reviewer is happy to endorse a business that embraces an inclusive, eco-friendly policy that supports a tomorrow free from the foul air-polluting fumes of filthy, fossil-fuel powered idling relics of the, one can only hope, soon-to-be past.
