I had a fantastic experience at the Best Buy Blossom Hill location in San Jose, CA, where Mikey helped install a Dashcam (VIOFO A229 Plus, along with the HK4 hardwire Kit) in my car. From start to finish, Mikey was super meticulous and careful in his work. It was clear that he had a lot of experience with installations, as he handled everything with precision.
He first took out the existing wiring and camera, carefully disconnecting everything without causing any damage to the car's system. There were no traces of the glue that was used to hold the camera stand on the windshield etc left and was a pretty clean job. Then, he replaced the old setup with the new Dashcam and wiring, ensuring that everything was securely connected and functioning perfectly. His attention to detail was evident throughout the process, and he made sure everything was neatly tucked away and out of sight, so it wouldn't interfere with the car's aesthetics or functionality. He as well wrapped up the cables that came out from the existing cam in a neat fashion and tied them up with zip ties to give it a clean look and not have them run into each other (there were a few cables that came out).
Mikey also took the time to explain the features of the new Dashcam, making sure I knew how to use it and answered any questions I had. His professionalism and expertise made the whole experience stress-free and efficient.
I highly recommend this location for anyone looking to get tech installations done with care and expertise. Mikey's work was top-notch, and I couldn't be happier with how the Dashcam turned out!
Mike at the Geek Squad (for auto installations) was of great help and installed the SC 200D cobra dashcam in my car, with perfection. I did carry along with me, a hardwiring cable and he mentioned that the one i had could run into causing battery drains and recommended a different cable which i ordered right away (from amazon).
He was very patient and explained things in a very calm and friendly demeanor. His experience with these sort of installs clearly said it all as he put away the wires just fine and had the camera up and running in just the right time.
Just perfect with his customer facing skills and definitely balancing it really well with his technical knowhow of what he does and deliver. Would definitely recommend him in case you are looking for those dashcam installation(s) for your vehicle(s).

Another great day, another great example of amazing work done by Oscar at the Auto install (Geek squad) center, today. After getting the dashcam installed in my car a couple of weeks or so ago, i got in the harness that would keep the cam on in parking mode as well. Got an appointment for it earlier with the folks there and got it setup (it was not Oscar who helped at that time) , though it would not turn the camera on ,after the car was parked for a long duration. Called them back and was given an appointment for today.
After checking in, Oscar took over and was able to address the problem. His attention to detail and making sure that not only the wiring of the cam was done properly , but every single piece that he had to take out to get the wiring was arranged properly as of new out of the factory. Pretty clean stuff.
Not only did he setup the wiring properly, he infact made sure that the settings in the dashcam were correct , that it was recording in the parked state and after ensuring all of this he walked me through the problem and the fix and handed over the keys. Been smoothsail for the cam since then.

I came here ready to spend between $1,500 and $2,000 on a laptop)tablet with a cellular connection. I stood around in the computer section for about 15 minutes, which may not sound like much, but a literal 15 minutes is quite a while to just stand around waiting to talk to somebody. Afterwards I decided I'd track somebody down. The first person I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about so she directed me to somebody else in which I stood and waited another 10 minutes for her to finish her drink and talk with the employee beside them. After a brief conversation with her it was clear she didn't know what I was talking about. She said such a thing doesn't exist, but I let her know that I'm certain it does. I had a Samsung Galaxy Go for a couple years that had a cellular connection I had to pay monthly for. She told me she'd have to look it up and while she was on the computer I did a quick Google search and found a whole host of brands who make exactly what I'm looking for. You'd think a Best Buy employee would be aware of this kind of stuff. So after her deciding she couldn't help me I walked over to the cell phones where I waited 10 minutes for a guy to finally approach me who also didn't know what I was talking about. He then walked away to help another customer and shortly after ignoring me he let me know that he's radioed for somebody. I stand around for just a few minutes this time when some guy walks up and the original employee lets him know that I need help. This new guy says oh wait, let me go load a TV I'll be back. Before I can say anything he walked away. Mind you, I wasn't rude nor did I even say anything at all other than ask one or two simple questions. The rest of the time I was just standing there looking lost. Out of all the employees I spoke to not a single one was able to help me and most had no idea a basic electronic consumer good exists. It frustrated me so much that it prompt me to write this review as soon as I got back to my car. Reference my profile and you only see positive reviews and there's only a couple for friends businesses. This is not something I take lightly. Well, not on Manager Jennifer's iWatch! She doesn't allow it, and it shows. Every interaction with the associates just compounded the professionalism. Well done, Team. She explained, "Tech, in some cases, can be confusing, and we enjoy sharing solutions with customers."
We begin this journey with Joe who had "Viking" appliances out in impressive fashion! What I wasn't ready for was the fact he was willing to go "above and beyond" to resolve every question we had.
Second, we spent some time talking with Joey , who introduced me to a few solutions I desperately need for a nuisance problem I have, which is keeping the floors clean. I'm glad I asked him, I never knew Best Buy sold these. We are making the problem a thing of the past.
