It has been quite a while since I dined here after quarantine in 2021. Ordered some appetizers such as Fritto Di Pesce Misto and Insalata Della Casa, and they were solid. For main courses, I had Linguine Al Castello, Involtini Di Vitello, and Seared Ahi Tuna with Penne. The presentation was decent, but some dishes tasted mediocre and could use an extra touch of spices or savoriness to elevate the taste. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was alright. I would rate the food a 3.5/5 based on tonight’s experience.
Dear manager, Thank you for your reply! 💕I really enjoyed my meal at Al Castello Ristorante. Regarding the Grilled Ahi Tuna, I think adding a bit more spice could enhance the flavors. Perhaps a touch of paprika or cayenne pepper could give it a nice kick. Additionally, a slightly thicker reduction sauce, maybe with a hint of balsamic vinegar, could complement the tuna beautifully. Just to let you know that every customer critiques the special dishes in a different view, and the suggestion I apply on improving taste may not work for every...
Read moreMy mom and I recently had dinner here. The restaurant recently moved from a smaller location around the corner and I wanted to try the new location. The place is large and spacious. Love the chandelier in the lobby. They give you a basket of garlic breadsticks. These were so good. Not too garlicky.
Mom had the Gamberi as vino Bianco - jumbo prawns sauteed in white wine sauce served with a side of penne pasta. She really liked this. Lots of big prawns. Nice light sauce. Not heavy at all.
I had the Vitello al Marsala - Veal sauteed with mushrooms in a Marsala wine sauce, with a side of veggies instead of pasta. This was so good. Lots of mushrooms, tender veal, good flavor. Veggies were cooked nicely, not mushy.
For dessert, mom had the salted caramel gelato. She loved this. Very tasty. Large portion. I had the cannoli. This was really good. Crisp shell that was easily cut with a fork. Flavorful cream inside.
A great local Italian restaurant. I...
Read moreCame with our group of friends based on a recommendation. Clean, open table seating setup with a small outdoor patio. Don't bring any outside food or drink - including water - you'll get busted. We started with a couple of appetizers. The Bruschetta was very good. The Caprese should have been left off the menu - hard under ripe tomatoes and rubbery cheese. The vinaigrette dressing for the salad was one of the best, we all agreed. As far as entrees, the special of the day, Butternut Squash Ravioli was excellent. Other items were just okay. The Cannelloni was buried somewhere under a pile of meat sauce. The Rigatoni Al Forno was all right, but why the two inch squares of ham? And for a better look, grated cheese on the top looks better than a melted slice. $25 corkage fee. Service was okay but uneven. In the end, we paid a little more than we would at other Italian restaurants that provided a better...
