If you find yourself reading this STOP, call the phone number and order a pizza. Save yourself from reading my ramblings after devouring this pizza and fries. Yes, you read that correctly, fries. I love fries, and when the fries taste this good, I eat till I get the "itis". The fries will take you back to a bowling alley in the 90's with their perfect potato taste with minimal salt. I would totally guess these are Idaho potatoes and not believe someone if they said they were not. My wife has had some spaghetti stuff here and she says it's above average. Dough is legit. I would say it's tier 1. Pizza sauce you get with garlic bread is off the chain, they should charge more. Garlic bread is perfect, can barely smell or taste garlic. I have no idea the names of the flavors in the bread but its "most best". Young woman at counter was friendly and made me laugh a rarity now that people have their faces stuck in cell phones. I have been her a few times over the years but live too close to eat inside. Pizza should be take out. No soggy bottom on pizza and dough isn't too thin. If you have sensitivity to tomato sauce, don't worry both of my kids can't eat cheap sauce and they love this pizza. Parking is strip mall and there is plenty. I didn't see any homeless in parking lot which is something I look for now but won't stop me if the food is top...
Read moreExcellent! You will not be disappointed with this choice for your meal. My friend and I went for dinner, and the first thing you notice are the delicious smells from the food. We had the baked lasagna and veal parmigian with fresh salads, and large glasses of soda. The servings are big enough for two people or one very hungry person. The baked lasagna was excellent from the moment I smelled it, to when it hit my taste buds. The cheese was abundant and baked just right...it was just what I was looking for to satisfy me tonight. My friend enjoyed his veal and spaghetti, and had enough spaghetti for another meal to take home. The bread smelled and tasted delicious. The service was very pleasant, friendly, quick, and just as excellent as the food. We even enjoyed some of the winter Olympics on the TVs mounted on the walls. This is a nice, low key, cozy place that feels comfortable and welcoming. There is none of that snotty pretense you get in other parts of San Jose. It wasn't loud, so you can have an effortless conversation with your dinner partners. Great for families or a date. It was a really good experience and we were happily stuffed by the time we left. Now we are going back for lunch and...
Read moreI bought veal scalloping and my dad bought the new york steak for lunch. Neither dishes tasted that good, and I felt they were overpriced for a lunch. My spaghetti tasted very salty, and my dad said his steak was tough and chewy. We also had to wait for a long time for the dishes to be served. The soup is also very small and costs $5 each, and the contents felt overcooked.
The garlic bread was delicious, though.
I haven't tried their pizzas, but it seems quite expensive as well.
I also visited this place last September and there was this very rude old Asian waitress/cashier. It was such an awful experience, and to this day I had no idea what I did to set her off like that. I still have terrible flashbacks about it.
Fortunately my dad and I didn't see her this time. There was a much nicer waitress/cashier. But last year's service was so horrible I can not rate the service here positively overall.
Atmosphere is decent. Though the benches feels like they sag a bit so the table feels much higher than it should be.
In total we spent around $70, tax and tips included, for a lunch. It's very pricey, and the food wasn't great.
I would not recommend this place. I'm not coming...
