I order from this place at least twice a week so I have the opportunity to try out different items they offer. The dozen donuts fresh and early in the morning is what they do best. Soft, warm, glazy and chewy, we usually get the assorted dozen. That is their signature. However, I discovered of late their Pastrami & Cheese Bagel hands down is just as equally as good. Even better than 'TOGOs. How that is, I might never know but it's an excellent sleeper of a choice. Their 'Raspados' esp the Lime Flavored Raspados reminds of a lime flavored popsicle and the old Hawaiian style 'Shav-Ice' cones. All of the spoken I feel are good choices to make. Their breakfast sandwiches and croissants are okay. The problem with all of those items are mostly because of the sponge-like, flavorless egg and reminds me of a meatless 'Impossible' entree item. . I would prefer the scrambled , skillet style egg in my breakfast sandwich choices but hey, I can only speak for myself. It looks like the egg is scrambled steamed and expanded in a mold. But the sausage is good and the bacon crispy without being greasy. It needs more cheese though. Prices are very reasonable otherwise the only coffee choice I've ever had from here is their iced, Vanilla Caramel iced coffee which has a tendency to melt and dilute into the coffee making it eventually too watered down to drink. It would probably best be served to go... presumably, as I have my stuff delivered to me from DoorDash. I'm thinking of trying out their 'Licuados', speaking of the blended Strawberry-Banana which I will do soon. Although my review is specific to the Blossom Hill Rd., location, the only Yum Yum in-person visit I ever did was to the Meridian Avenue location back in 2014 for what was at that time, a very hot and tasty egg, bacon, sausage and cheese on a croissant. My overall rating I'm serving this location is a '4-Star' rating for the slightly watered down coffee drinks and the equally watered down...

Read moreMy wife and I had our wedding reception in October 2017 and went to all the known donut shops in the San Jose area to find the right donut. Yum Yum was our preference because their dough was more flavorful, consistent, and less greasy. They also had two unique flavors for Halloween that were lime and orange; sounds odd, but they worked really well. Yum Yum made 120 plus donuts to accommodate us. They were made the day of and everyone loved the idea, taste, and flavor options. Rose Café had the big donut for our top tier(little dry), but everything below was the highly complemented product of Yum Yum. Having moved out of state, we would advise you visit this classic strip mall shop to see the flavor du mois(they seem to change month by month) and support these friendly, caring, and creative people. Please tip a dollar more than you think is necessary because...
