Badoota — Restaurant in San Jose

I recently ordered a takeaway from Badoota. I had heard good things about their bangalore style Donne biriyani and chicken kabab, so i decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed ! The biriyani was absolutely delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly and the mutton was tender and flavourful. The species were perfectly balanced, and the biriyani had a wonderful aroma. I also enjoyed that the fact that the biriyani was served in a Donne ( made from dried palm leaves). This gave the biriyani a unique flavor and texture.

The chicken kabab was also very good. The meat was juicy and flavorful and the marinade was delicious.

The biriyani was served with raita, which was a perfect complement.

Overall, I was very very impressed with the Bangalore style donne biriyani from Badoota. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic...

Being a Bangalorean, my typical weekend would include a good donne biryani with kebab. After moving to the US, that feeling of not eating it would always make me miss bangalore a lot. I recently tried the chicken and mutton donne biryani at Badoota and I went straight back to my weeekends at Bangalore. Loved the taste as it was a perfect balance and the meat was cooked to perfection. The Chilli chicken is the star of the show which was very close to the Nagarjuna chilli chicken (Bangalore’s favorite). The spice was amazing and I’m so glad Rakesh and his team opened this place. I recently got to San Jose from Bangalore, and one thing I hadn’t found here is good Donne biryani or hell even Donne biryani. Ordered from this place Badoota and damnn the authenticity and the flavor of the biryani is like I never left my every Sunday adda. I got a chance to talk to owners as well Rakesh and Rithesh, these guys are highly passionate on delivering the best quality biryani out there in the Bay Area. All this clout for a recent restaurant, impossible!
